he was on the bench because he contributed to hou losing. definitely not that they were losing and he didn't get a chance. don't get that confused. he hasn't played well this entire playoffs and has looked completely lost in the first two games
in the games when hes played he has done nothing thus far. i have no idea what some of you are watching if you think otherwise
I agree with the sentiment here but it doesn't have to be House. House is the most likely candidate for sure, but this could be anyone playing at the 3/4. House, Shump, Faried, even Clark, but you are right that SOMEONE has to step up and give us 20ish good minutes in this spot.
playing 5 minutes is a problem...he didnt play in months.. give him at least 20 minutes to find his rhytm...hes an ideal player we need if we can get him going somehow
if he gets going somehow and shows he deserves that many minutes sure. but nothing to this point indicates that, especially when he cant even last a few without find ways to contribute
Ok. We are the better team with our zero finals appearances vs GS with their 4 straight and about to be 5th. I love the Rockets but only a homer thinks the Rockets are the better team.
He's tried but it hasn't worked out. In fact his mistake was going for a true PF instead of just getting another small ball 3 that can play the 4. That's why he went for Morris over Kawhi and drafted guys like Terrance Jones.
The contract issues with House aside, I would've played House, Clark, and Hartenstein a lot more. We'll have to wait till next year, and that's assuming MDA still isn't too scared to play them.
Against the Warriors, there is no real "5" so it doesn't really matter. You basically have a PG, SG, 2 wings, and an undersized PF as their death lineup
If the PnR with Capela remains ineffective in the 1st quarter of Game 3 you gotta put Faried in there at the five. He can still catch lobs and finish like Capela but he adds another wrinkle in that he is willing to take and make 3s. Sure it was only a small sample size during the regular season but at this point if Capela can't give us any offense you gotta try something else.
To be fair, he didn't play in Game 1. He played 5 minutes in game 2 and didn't provide much. He was -6. But then he was in the game with this lineup. CP3, Rivers, Gerald Green, Tucker, Faried. I'm sorry, but wtf is that lineup? He hasn't been great in the playoffs. He was solid the first two games against Utah, lol. Then he kind of confusingly got benched in the second half of game 3 against Utah and hasn't really played since then. I say confusingly because he was -1 in the first half and the team was down by more than that. And his PT didn't go to someone else. MDA just shortened the rotation, as he is WELL KNOWN to do in the playoffs.
can he show us something on saturday. I sure hope he does just like any of the other bench guys many of us expected to be contributors against this team. Bc they need them to if they're going to give themselves a better chance at winning. The ceiling is already limited as is. it doesn't need to get any lower when you have once again only 6 guys you can play because everyone else is just so bad
GSW is shooting 59% against PJ Tucker in the playoffs. GSW shot 45% against PJ Tucker in the 4 regular season games. This is an issue that no one has really brought up. If he can get back down to only allowing around 45% from the opponent, we win (definitely game 1).
I have no clue. But I wouldn't knee-jerk off Saturday either. For bench players like that, lineup is so important, obviously. Livingston was -9 in his 2nd half stretch last night but I thought actually played well. But he was in there end of third, beginning of fourth, where there was lots of lineup changing, and it consisted of Looney, McKinnie, Jebreko at times. Point being, if MDA rolls out Faried along with Gerald Green, Danuel House, Austin Rivers... he isn't going to give you much.
