I hear this one alot If they not calling a foul at the three point line. . . . .. what makes you think they will call in the lane Before Harden took 20 threes a games He was constantly roasted as "foul hunting" IN THE LANE and when he did not get the calls .. . . .they said it was because he exagerated the movements etc... Does that sound familiar??????? Hammered at the three point line Hammered in the lane won't matter if the refs don't call them . . . .. I have watch the Rockets get cheated both way . . . .so . . . . but yea. . . continue to listen to talking heads than change the narrative to fit the cheat every f*cking time Am I Lying? Rocket River
No you're not lying, somehow Harden and CP3 (and team) are going to have to turn off their emotions and make shots regardless of the contact. Somehow they're going to have to not worry about landing wrong on a jump shot (thanks to defenders basically being allowed to do unlimited Zaza moves). Etc etc... Houston can do it, but have to make ridiculous adjustments that the Warriors won't have to do and play 5v8
Because the REFS make adjustments. I was talking to the coworker .. . .take away the three point missed fouls The ones that ABSOLUTELY sealed the game on us were in the last two minutes., 1. Curry Pushed James out - Not on the three point just a regular ole foul - That would have been 2 free throws and curry gone with 6 fouls ----- but we don't get it .. . curry goes and busts a 3 in nene's face 2.Curry Grabbing Ego to keep him from catching the ball - That would have been free throws and Curry gone AGAIN with 6 fouls ---- But we don't get it and CP3 gets a tech and gives them another free throw That is literally 5 points in a 4 point game in the LAST 2 F*CKING MINUTES!! Rocket River
we should just take 100 shots from halfcourt for 48min tonite. shhit would be on every newscast worldwide from vanuatu to malawi. and they would all ask, why? .... the question that is silver's worst nightmare
Yeah, those fouls were blatant too, it wasn't some junk foul, but a non-nba ref would have been able to make those calls, hell..... An average fan could have too. Would Houston have won for sure, no, but it would have made it a lot better than the bullshit that occurred
Just go to the basket because that's the higher percentage shot. Fouls are nice but buckets are better.
Hahah, this might actually make me feel better... , it would at least add some comic relief since the 97 playoffs garbage occurred
The purpose of fouls is to stop your from getting baskets and if you have unlimited fouls or fouls that are not called that percentage drops significantly Rocket River "The Rockets missed 20 layups in a row. . . . .. . ." - Commentary have the paint hack fest
Couple of corrections: * That's a 7-point difference in a 4-point game. Harden +2 FT, Curry -3pts, EG +2FT. Assume 1 missed FT and it's still enough to win. * In the last 70 seconds. If anyone thinks the Warriors are still going to score if Curry is gone, that's big maybe; our D would have one fewer shooter to watch.
The major issue for the NBA is that the Rockets's Analytics team is exposing their ability to fix games This call backs to the words and works of people like Donaghy They survived that scandal pretty easily but This adds fuel to that and may revive it they are terrified of that What if someone starts showing that foreign players get shittier calls or other biases . .. .the game is not a game anymore its wrestlemania Rocket River
Thanks for the correction and no free throw for CP3 Tech cause he would not have gotten one Rocket River
another thing rockets could do is a player to fall down with injury after being undercut say gerald green... it doesnt have to be a true injury but fake it and just report it as such
Back in the day... they went to the bucket - hard. They expected to get fouled - that was the cost for driving in the paint... Maybe they got the call...maybe they didnt.... regardless... they played for the bucket - not the whistle.... As various posters have pointed out drawing the foul is the most efficient play... the net result on free throws trumps efficiency of every other shot... but the thing is - you gotta get the call. As is apparent to everybody - that aint happening as it should - esp in the playoffs. Which is why I never liked the mentality of just playing for the foul... if you are willing to put your fate in the hands of the officials - you get what you get... and I wouldnt trust those crooked bastards - period. It's also another point against small ball. When you got smaller guys driving - they're far easier to disrupt - esp down low in the crowd of bodies. When you got a big man that can go up strong with the ball overhead in 2 hands and his arms get hacked - its more visible... i know I know... I'm a dinosaur and the games has 'evolved'... but hey, a guy can lament progress and miss the days when games were decided by the players ability to score on the open floor - and not by the officials or at the free throw line... jus sayin....
