Boy D’Antoni sucks as a playoff coach. Plays Shump tons of minutes and has Nene playing way too much as he can’t cover Durant or Curry and shouldn’t be at age 38. Why didn’t he play Faried??? No Clint at end killed us on defense. 4-1 series to GS if we continue playing these jokers!!!
Faried is bad at defense, he will get killed out there, no joke. Nene out performed Capela today, he did a really great job. He did almost everything we asked.
The guy who can’t defend? He doesn’t switch on switches ever and leaves a guy wide open... Nene actually held it down today for the most part.
Please clarify b/c it sounds like you are talking about Shumpert. Nene is and always has been a good playoff player, but he shouldn’t be in there at the end of the game over Capela. Shumpert shouldn’t be playing at all at the end of the game. They haven’t all year and our sh#t for brains coach waits until the most critical moment of the season to mix things up.
You’re right....better not insert Faried who averages a double double and had 20-10 last time they played. His effort and dunks may hurt us. Yes stick with that defensive all-star Shumpert.
No I’m talking about Faried who literally traps guys instead of switching fully. Then when you have him out there with gerald it’s the biggest recipe for disaster.
I wanted to see Capela and Faried on the floor together. It worked pretty well in the game we won without Harden earlier this season. The Warriors seem to have trouble with those high energy bigs down low. Look at what Montrezl Harrell just did to them. We can do it too!
Completely agree... NENE did his job fine but the thing is Capela, house shump and GG are contributing nothing at all... people talks about his defense but really, it’s a matter of picking your poison, keep playing guys until you get something that works and if it doesn’t, you at least tried... but sticking with shumpert specially it’s stupid... I haven’t seen a good game from him since he’s been here...
I don't get it. He'll easily put up a double-double for you every night. As for his defense, can Jeff B not sit down with him and go over tape of his mistakes? Can they not work on his defense in the Rockets' scheme? Do the coaches attempt no improvement on certain vital skills with the players they have? I don't get it. I don't get it in any sport, whether it's an NBA player continuing to make defensive mistakes or a MLB player going throw a prolonged slump. These aren't static pawns; there's always room for improvement. I refuse to believe that these guys can't be taught to get a little better, so they have to just sit. That's a coaching thing. Or a lack of coaching thing.
