Carter isn’t necessarily wrong or a biatch, he’s taking a different angle...he’s right that the Rockets had a chance to win this even with bad officiating. The players need to focus on playing the game and preparing for the next game. Most here knew we had to beat the refs and the Warriors to advance as evidenced by last year. No one knew that it would be this remarkably obvious bias, which hopefully turns out to be in our favor this series (doubtful) or at least Game 2. Warriors aren’t playing well at home, we need to take the next one and protect home court.
I would like to see Carter performing at this show with an angry bulldog sitting between his legs...Something tells me he wouldn't be able to focus appropriately...
Cris Carter is spot on about one thing though, adjusting to the situation. Harden knows refs aren't calling fouls on his 3s, then he should adjust. In my opinion, he should explore his mid-range game again which is equally good but D'Antoni keeps running the 3-ball. Harden activates his mid-range game and he will be completely unguardable as it will create more mismatches. Complaining about refs won't win the series but adjusting will. Besides CP3 no one attempts mid-range at all.
Carter blatantly ignoring the flagrant fouls, which is the root of this whole issue. I get it, it's a TV show, and Carter probably took the 'against' role, but man, you gotta look in the mirror, buddy. Blonde chick was good. And a handsome woman.
Shannon also called out the refs. He cited Capela and PJ as factors in the loss(and they were), but he also said those were straight up fouls and need to be called. It's a pretty bad look for the league when just about everyone including those are not exactly fans of the Rockets(and especially Harden) are saying the refs screwed them. Like I said in another thread, this series likely gets called far more tightly at least over the next couple games. That doesn't guarantee anything for the Rockets as they still have to outplay the Warriors in order to win. But if there's one positive out of the Game 1 screwjob, it's that the NBA knows it cannot allow Golden State to undercut Rockets shooters anymore.
jay williams: "eric gordon and james harden combined for 8 of 39 from the three point line" STFU and get back on your motorbike disinfo jackass
Harden is much quicker than Klay with drive, stop and pull up a jumper plus pick-n-roll will create a mismatch which will put a C or PF trying to block Hardens shot. Klay only gets to undercut is because of Harden going one-on-one.
You realize two people on a talk show aren’t suppose to agree They have to spend time talking or yelling at each other to make money
They’re running PnR and Klay is still getting matched on to Harden. The Warriors Switching defense is designed to have you go 1 on 1. They switch the PF or C and Iggy and Draymond will undercut harden.
I get it man, when I watched this initially I was pissed at Carter but he would have said the same to any other team. The players need to focus on the game more during playing time. Complain to refs on dead ball. I was fine with the CP3 tech at the end when game didn’t matter and it was a turnover, but all the other ones hurt in a 3 point game. Letting the refs get into a player’s head is even more in favor for Warriors. Harden’s biggest block in the playoffs is the refs and how the game is called. He needs to come out next game and dominate even with ref bias. There isn’t anything to do besides quit playing, I rather he step up and shut everyone up including the so called greatest team ever (greatest mental midgets ever).
Lol how is Harden supposed to adjust to that? Only adjustment is to not shoot or roll his ankle. And as someone who has landed on someones feet while playing bball numerous times, it still makes me cringe thinking about it. What's funny is that Curry started doing a fall if defenders closed out too closely to him years ago. He did this after spraining his ankle 50 billion times.
i guess the league won't change a dam thing untill one of our players get hurt by those undercutting move..
