ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 4/28/2019 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 1)

The only good news is that if you look at how both teams played game one, I'd have to say the game and flow were no different. It was messy. And that makes it a close series.

Without Cousins, why Capela still playing like scrubs?

 

Idk why but I can see ourselves being down 0:2 back to Houston. Got stolen one game and back to GS with 1:3. But somehow we managed to win G5&6 and bring it to 7.

 

Well, I have to say Im disappointed in the loss, but I think the rockets did better than anyone expected. GS has really been on another level for 5 years.

It should be a moral victory they made a game of it at the end. Rockets are really not that far away from being on GS level. They should be extremely proud of their effort.

 

Rockets couldn’t make shots. Yeah the refs were bad, but we’ve gotta stop trying to win this way.

Harden hasn’t had a good game since Game 2 of Utah. Paul hasn’t had a good game these whole playoffs. Gordon of all people has shown up consistently. Capela my goodness.

I ain’t going to worry myself with this crap anymore. Refs are what they are, hope you are on the right side of things and if you’re not then just make your shots. Rockets didnt. They lost.

Harden after todays game is shooting a career low from the field in the playoffs....

 

Warriors played well offensively, but we played offensively very poor. If you want to stop Durant, don't let him go 1 on 1 against anybody. Double-team Durant, let Donkey and Whiny shoot 3s. Curry is hurt, he is shooting less than on avg. 15 FGs a game in the playoffs, when healthy he averages. 20 FGs a game. Let him drive to the basket and let him hurt some more. Warriors took Game 1 because they shot mostly inside the 3, not outside. Game 2, the Warriors point spread has shrunk which means @#$@#$@#. 1-1 back to Houston.

 

But taking more shots than everyone. Just spread the wealth and good things will happen. Capela, Tucker, and Paul need to come out in a shooting frenzy next game. Please bring in Faried for some rebounding help and team him with Nene. House isn't rebounding much.

 

I don’t think double teaming Durant would benefit more than switching. If we double then either Klay or Curry will be found open for an easy bucket. Don’t think we will have a chance if that happens.

 

Warriors could not have played a worse game, and we still could not win. So frustrating that again the refs played a huge role, but Harden needs to be more like in 2015: more shots from midrange, aggressive and less complaining. You won’t get calls James so just do your thing!

 

Warriors played an average game, Rockets played a bad game. Warriors barely won, I think if we can muster 2-3 great games together we can win this series. We havent had a great game since game 1 or 2 against the jazz

 

We sholuld play both Faried and Hartenstein instead of Iman.

 

Capela -17 in 27 minutes
Nene +7 in 14 minutes
No Center +6 in 7 minutes


Playing Nene is a mark of desperation. Remember that.

 

He’s just a gamer. Not saying it would’ve helped or hurt. He was just ride or die.

 

I see a couple of possesions when other players hv great look but James didn’t pass. We could do it better next game. Watch the tape and let’s escalate to a next level.

 

I’d like for the Rockets to start the last 5 players on the bench in game 2. Just do a whole “F- You” to GSW and the league and undercut every shot, layup, dunk attempt.

I’m never about players getting hurt, but this just complete and utter BS
