If you want things to change, send them a thoughtful, measured request to investigate the no-calls on Harden's fouls. He was clearly fouled 4 times on 3 pointers, to the bewilderment of the broadcast crew. JVG at the end asking 'we need a definition of what constitutes landing space' https://contact.nba.com/contact-nba/ Please be reasonable and factual in what you say to them. Give them your real name and your email address and let them know that it isn't enjoyable seeing the top scorer in the game having his legs taken out. It is dangerous. It was Klay Thompson 3 times in the first half who took his landing space (once so badly the broadcast crew suggested it could almost be flagrant) - Steve Javie, the expert for the broadcast crew suggested they were fouls. Once at the end, Draymond Green jumps towards, and lands under Harden. If you just put the facts to them, then perhaps the Rockets won't continue to get screwed over. Please avoid accusing the NBA of conspiracy. They'll just delete those emails, or request proof. Stay on topic - 4 fouls on Harden and at least one on Paul three point attempts that went uncalled.
Agreed . We should really try to spread this around . I understand that players make it hard by flopping sometimes ... but the truth is harden only tried to resort to flopping after they missed it 3!!! Times in a row . Unacceptable
I respect the attempt to try to fix this, but I've seen it time and again in business and government- complaining doesn't do ****. You have to hit them either in the pocket or with the law. No one here has the resources to do that to the NBA, but we ALL have the ability to say F you and stop watching. I think Mark Cuban started drilling down on them, and they smacked him hard. When he started to play by the 'rules', poof, he wins a championship.
Been there, done that. I'm not discouraging folks from doing this. It's worth a shot. But as Daryl said today:
Y’all act like this will accomplish anything. The league *wants* the Warriors to win. Why would they change anything?
The fact that Cuban is low-key shading the NBA about this tells you everything you need to know. Cuban hates houston everything but I think every owner should be worried about this honestly, because it's the Rockets now and it could easily be your team next.
What the league "wants" is ratings. Like it or not, the Warriors provide this. The Rockets will always be 5-8 in these series until they can draw the same type of ratings.
I think we will get more results from... 1.) Making a YUGE gathering outside Toyota Center before game 3 with posters of the no calls... 2.) Making as many youtube videos as we can with the exact same no calls of Clay on Harden.... 3.) Using the same posters from outside to be used during the game that is being televised, strategically placing them behind both benches AND behind both rims!! 4.) Making the crowd at Toyota Center continuously say, BE FAIR REFS! BE FAIR REFS! BE FAIR REFS! 5.) Rinse & Repeat... ....... ....... .......
I think the League wants Golden State to win it all again, you know, it creates a great story that can be talked about for years to come - Golden State Warriors, The Dynasty! When was the last time that NBA had a team that had the word dynasty associated with them? The Boston Celtics, The Los Angeles Lakers?
You would have better luck, complaing about the Internal Revinue Service . It's like sending a letter about someone running over your dog. Hopefully the Rockets can win Tuesday night.
The League has sanctioned this, IMO. Complaining to them would be like complaining to Donald Trump that climate change exists and that he should do something about it.
If the ratings is what the NBA is after, then they’re failing big time with the Warriors. NBA ratings have been dropping consistently over the past 3 years. If you look at Finals ratings, it’s at multi year lows. From the data that’s available, the only logical conclusion is that the general public doesn’t like the Warriors. MJ won three straight and every year, Finals ratings went up. The Warriors have been in the Finals three straight times and the ratings have dropped year by year. They are not the fan favorites that dynasties of past have been.
