WTF? I thought this was a joke. But, apparently it's not. There must have been some other player with possible upside they could have selected before this guy. Look, I've seen him play. He has a nice story and all. But, this makes no sense whatsoever. No one was going to draft this guy. I don't even know if he would have had any other teams want to bring him in as a free agent. So, there wasn't any WR or RB the Texans wanted to take a flyer on? Maybe the Texans are so underwhelmed with their "upgrades " to the offensive line that they felt they needed a full time protector for Watson in the backfield. And just to be clear. As a Texans fan I hope this guy becomes the greatest fullback in NFL history.
Reminds me of the MLB draft when teams will take some kid in the 37th round with no intention of ever signing him, just as a favor to a friend. Who in the Texans front office is an Aggie? There's a reason why you never hire Aggies in HR.
