Kamala Harris' home state to halt death penalty https://www.sfchronicle.com/news/article/Gov-Newsom-orders-halt-to-California-s-death-13683693.phpGov. Gavin Newsom, the ex of Fredo Trump's new squeeze, will be declaring a moratorium on California’s death penalty tomorrow and granting reprieves to 737 condemned prisoners on the nation’s largest Death Row. He is expected to sign an executive order to do so, more than two years after the state’s voters rejected an initiative to abolish capital punishment. No Calif voters voted to end the death penalty; but they're outnumbered by the more populous So Calif voters While he has the power to grant reprieves and clemency, Newsom cannot unilaterally change the death-penalty law, which was passed by the voters in 1978 and could be repealed only at the ballot box. As for Kamala Harris She touts Her Opposition to the Death Penalty, but Her Track Record’s More Complicated https://www.motherjones.com/politic...h-penalty-her-track-records-more-complicated/
Harris is getting some bad press this morning https://news.yahoo.com/kamala-harris-herbalife-accused-of-exploiting-latinos-090000896.html
kind of a weasly response from Kamala on this one, some folks not terribly happy with her at the moment
It looks like she had a "conversation" after putting her foot in her mouth big time. This one may hurt her pretty bad.
Harris has lost the Candid Camera vote. Excerpt: When it comes to gun ownership in America, presidential aspirant Kamala Harris has shot herself in the foot. At a time when Democrats are toughening their positions on gun control and seeking to make it a core issue in the 2020 campaign, the California senator has conceded that her personal relationship with guns is unique among the major Democratic presidential contenders. She owns a handgun. This under-publicized revelation comes as Harris is getting a lot of ink for being tough about guns. Her words are fine, but for a progressive like me, they are undermined by that handgun. And I can’t be the only one who is disturbed. Keeping a handgun for personal safety is a bedrock conservative view. The best defense against a “bad guy with a gun,” the NRA falsely argues, is “a good guy with a gun.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...table-2020-democratic-race-column/3567371002/
This one dude not withstanding, no one is going to care whether she owns a gun. Outside of a minority far left that wants to ban all handguns, owning a handgun has nothing to do with improving background checks, banning assault weapons, safety programs, etc. Even beyond that, people still wouldn't care that much. The religious right doesn't care that Trump is the epitome of the 7 deadly sins. GOP military people don't care that Bush or Trump were draft-dodgers. People will forgive if the personalities and policies line up with what they want.
Oh no... No idea how she’s going to win the presidency now that she lost Mick Fry’s vote!! She’s a politician who got caught off guard with a question and punted. After a day or two she was prepared to answer. Big woopty do. Again... politician. I’d rather a politician punt to think and prepare for good answers rather than just parrot Bernie without thought. Then again... you don’t really care. You are just here to own libs on the Internet. Go to your Trump Reddit thread and beat your chest over there.
The junior Senator from Calif distinguished herself in the Barr testimony this is the headline from Vanity Fair KAMALA HARRIS GUTS BARR LIKE A FISH, LEAVES HIM FLOPPING ON THE DECK
Hahaha, i read the transcirpt this but did not view it until now. That is what a real attorney does when questioning. Too bad more congressmen, half of whom have law degrees, aren't this good.
