ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 4/24/2019 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 5)

The jazz on defense aren't exactly easy to play against. Harden did what he had to do at the end when it counted.

Whew! Lots of credit to the Jazz and their disciplined defense. They are 1 or 2 consistent shooters away from being elite.

I feel the Rockets got through the gauntlet. The longer this series would have persisted the better the likelihood the Jazz could possibly take it. Proud of the Rockets and glad to be done with Round 1.

I always appreciated how in NHL they have the post-series handshake line. I mean they could have had numerous fights where they punch each other, check each other to the ice, but they give a hand shake at the end of the series.

 

Gobert makes a real difference out there when he's healthy and engaged.

 

Harden made 5 floaters over Gobert in the second half.

Gobert didnt suddenly shrink.

I am telling you, its mental with Harden.

 

I can't outwardly support this post, but I'm silently investing.

Lost my signal late in second and finally got it back with 30+ seconds left in the game.

 

Wow. That was ridiculous.
So happy we don’t have to go back to Utah.

Definitely don’t feel as good going up against Golden State now than I did after Game 2, where I was certain we would beat them, but hopefully with the different make up of their team they can’t apply the same pressure on D (cuz lord knows they’re offence won’t be as bad as Utah’s)

 

Well that was fun. Next series won't be.

Gordon and Tucker were phenomenal this series. Gordon is prolly the MVP of this series, Mitchell couldnt do anything with him. CP was also Cp.

Also shout out to James for his clutch defensive plays and shots in the 4th quarter.

 

What a series...Gordon and Harden's clutch steals absolutely won us the game. Hopefully Harden breaks out of his slump and we need Clint to be healthy and aggressive just like the dunk he had on Gobert. Onto the next!

 

Rockets are a better team, it’s sad that we have no response to their defence or offence.

 

YEAH! Go Rockets!!!!

Now, Go Clippers! Pains to say that, but anyone but the Warriors. Can't see the Clippers actually winning the series, but hopefully they make the Warriors sweat this one out more.
