OP does not understand the basic principle that the offensive player is allowed space to come down or it's an automatic foul smh
sometimes you just have to take what the defense gives you. and rubio ain't stopping Harden 1 on 1. that's a fact.
You have to wonder sometimes if two pages worth of people ridiculing you is not enough to change your mind, then maybe you're just here to yell.
Has the OP been watching playoff bball for very long? In the last 1-2 minutes of playoff games, ISO is the offense for any team that has a decent playmaker. The vaunted GSW and their "everybody touches the rock" philosophy- when the going gets tough, and a great defensive team is stifling them, what do they do? ISO Durant. And it's a damn good idea, because Durant can stick a J no matter who defends. Defenses lock down to their tightest level. Movement on picks & screens is more restricted. More pushing & shoving than usual on motion and refs swallow the whistle. Each additional pass is more dangerous, increasing chances for the worst-case scenario, a turnover. Question: how many "swing it around the horn" plays have you seen on the last possession of a close, important game? ISO is playoffs offense. It just so happens that the Rockets are the best ISO team in the world. Last nights' win is equally or more impressive than the first two blowouts, because a champion finds a way to win when things aren't going your way on the road. This is the kind of win last years' team would pull out. The Rockets are smack in the middle of their championship contender window, and the window is wide open. Believe.
I haven't watched the game again yet, but Chris got called for a foul on exactly that kind of play. He wasn't allowed the space to come down and the j*zz player flung himself back like he had been shot. That's what I remember this morning, at any rate, although I got about 2 hours of sleep, so my brain is yelling at me, "Why aren't you asleep, you idiot?" I feel like a zombie.
bro i stayed up overnight here in europe to watch 10 hours straight of playoffs regarding the call on CP3, the legitimacy of this league is comical
I’m more concerned with the wear and tear on harden. He has to work too hard just to get a basket. Dantoni relies on him to do pretty much everything. I love how people hated Mchale for running an iso offense, but they think dantoni is a genius for running isos. Let’s just call those step back 3s for what it is, it’s a great player making a bad shot. Don’t tell me that’s great coaching.
A lot of words to be wrong on every level. They don’t Durant iso, stupid. https://youtube.com/watch?v=yDzqM_zvJNk The end of that video is GS finding all kinds of great looks through their offense.
Such a bad argument on a lot of levels. Who cares? In the context of HOU vs UTA game 3 it was terrible. Rubio riding his ass to get him off the 3P line funneling him right into Gobert is terrible offense. You think 0-15 to start would prove this. Harden shooting a contested floater over a guy with a near 10-foot standing reach is ridiculously bad offense. Especially since Harden never looks to pass in these late game situations.
Wait? You claimed Gs doesn’t iso Durant. All I did was tell you you are wrong. I will also go ahead and tell you that you are wrong again if you think Harden doesn’t pass in late game situations. All of this information is available via nba.com/stats It’s a rough day and age for the nba message board guy who likes to just throw out crap and hope it sticks. Back in the day it was hard to fact check. Now it’s very very easy to fact check bullshit.
