ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Jazz 4/20/2019 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 3)

No dude. It's called frustration. And our superstar player has histories of absolutely horrible playoff games and it really gets tough when the entire media has so much ammo.

He gets shitted on by the media more than any player. A lot of it is undeserved. Some of it is though. One valid criticsm is when teams start pressing and he doesn't have the space, he gets frustrated. He plays the ref game instead of just trying to score

What I'm most frustrated with Harden is he doesn't take the shots the defense gives him.

The dude acts like he is Ben Simmons at the 3 pt line when he is in that mid range area. It's insane. Why does he do that? Just take the god damn mid range shot. He's an excellent shooter.

 

Newsflash, ClutchFans: Despite what they showed in the first two games, the Jazz are a very good defensive team. They've played their best and managed to jeep a lid on Harden, get in our passing lanes, and block a half-dozen or so shots.

And what did all that get them? A 5-point halftime lead at home due to a Rockets' spazz-out in the last few seconds.

I'd be amazed if Utah can keep us bottled up for another two quarters.

 

Rockets did not lead any time so far.

 

Jeez, did Harden bet on Utah? I don't mind the misses but those lazy passes are inexcusable.

Let's see what the MVP has for the 2nd half.

0/10 is just unacceptable for an MVP candidate in any game, let alone in a playoff game. Harden seems to suffer from mental breakdowns when things don't go his way.

 

Harden just played maybe the worst half I’ve ever seen somebody play.

 

I thought that was actually the right pass in that situation. The stepback wasn't really there, so he shouldn't have taken it in the first place. Passing out of it was the right move. That being said he needs to drive more to see some start to fall.

 

To be fair, CK is wrong 90 percent of the time.

 

Like Thanbos said to Iron Man in Infinity War. "All that for a spec of blood". Harden is zero for 10 because he just missed shots. He is going to get cooking. this is the worst position any team can be in the others are ready to play

 

Haven’t seen him in a while.

 

Easy adjustment.

Let Paul run pick&roll all day.

When he sits, bring in Rivers to run pick&roll.

Let Harden play off the ball just like Gordon.

We finally have a decent backup point guard...use him.

Rockets win by 15. Utah won't know what to do.

 

Time for cp3 to earn that supermax. James is just some place else tonight

If you guys are worried about hardens OFFENSE then I dunno what to tell you .

He will bounce back , most likely this next quarter .... and gues what ... even if he doesn't we can still win

 

They led a couple of times, the first being Green's 3pter to get to 31-30 Rox.

I REALLY wanted Foster tonight as the referee. Knew we'd get some BS calls all night, would rather have gotten Foster out of the way for those. Now if this goes south and we lose we'll get Foster in game 4 or 5. Ugh.

 

Harden has had several of these inexplicable playoff lapses. Hope he snaps out of it in the second half.
