Per a Google, since they are an armed militia, i1n Texas they would get aggravated kidnapping, a first degree felony with a fine of up to $10,000 and a penalty of 5 to 99 years in state prison. For each person they kidnap. Meanwhile, for a first offense, illegal immigrants get a misdemeanor and 6 months in prison. The fact that these guys think that the former is an appropriate response to the latter should be a great illustration about how out of proportion the rhetoric has become on this issue. But of course, none is so blind as those who will not see. It will zoom right past those who most need to learn a lesson here.

Kidnapping people isn't helping do anything. You can help border patrol by calling and reporting known illegal immigrant activity. You can help border patrol if you find the knowledge of coyotes who smuggle in illegal immigrants. Why do you think to commit a 1st-degree felony to kidnap people who might possibly be guilty of a misdemeanor is helping? Why do you think committing multiple accounts of that 1st-degree felony is helping border patrol?
The answer to that isn't to commit 1st-degree felonies and kidnap people who may not be guilty and if they were wouldn't be over here committing felonies such as kidnapping.
