Is that what were doing here? Wow. I guess the fact that rarely if ever happens here leads me to believe the above is simple shitposting.

    Important clarifications to your statement.

Mueller had the power to indict during his tenure as special counsel... that’s kind of the point. The AG/acting AG, DOES have/had the ability to over rule charges (which would have triggered a report to Congress) but there wasn’t a need in this case because Mueller was obviously conservative in who he charged.

Mueller declining to charge isn’t the same as Mueller writing a report obviously meant to address the unique case of potential criminality of a sitting president and then Barr stepping in to make a legal decision ABOVE and BEYOND Mueller’s decisions to indict or not indict. It defeats the purpose of a special counsel to begin with.

I’m sure you think Hillary committed a crime with her emails right? But your personal thoughts on the legality don’t change the fact that the prosecutor didn’t have a case they felt they had the evidence to convict. Jeff Sessions basically agreed as well when asked why Trumps DOJ wasn’t pursuing. Sessions didn’t want one of his prosecutors to lose a case in an embarrassing fashion. Comey explained this in his investigation of Clinton’s emails himself which is the pretense used to fire him and ultimately why Barr should certainly lose his since he went far beyond what Comey did.

So Barr jumping in and intercepting an obvious pass to Congress and spiking the football in the end zone for Trump is far beyond inappropriate. Defeats the purpose of an independent counsel. Should cost him his career and stain whatever legacy he thinks he had to begin with.

This report was certainly written for Congress because of the nature of this being about Presidential wrong doing and how Mueller cites the OLC opinion about a sitting president being indicted.

However you want to slice it...Barr f-ed up big time. Congress now has to continue to investigate just like they did to Hillary with her emails when Comey handed over the evidence to Congress in her case.

In this case, Lucy represents the people who authored and perpetuated this scheme to try to weaponize the DOJ/FBI/CIA to oust of a duly elected President of the United States, and Charlie Brown represents all of those people who supported these efforts and put their faith and confidence in these people.

Let me get this straight Barr should have said there was collusion? Is that what the fuss is about?

That would have created a bigger mess since that would be going against what Mueller said.

Exactly. There was nothing to obstruct. What Trump was doing was just saying what was on his mind like usual. He would throw his ideas out there and then someone who understands the law would tell him if it's legal or not. He's done this his whole presidency, and theres nothing wrong with that. Trump doesn't have or need a law degree to run the country.

Things like firing Comey wasn't obstruction. We all can clearly see now that Comey didn't follow numerous procedures and was incompetent at his job, looking back you can clearly see it was a solid and appropriate move, not obstruction.

then you aren't good at reading legal documents.

From Muellers report 'They (Russians) appeared not to have preexisting contacts and struggled to connect with officials around the President Elect'

The Russians didn't even know how to contact Trump yet they were colluding the entire time....

    oh **** off.

Their effort to weaponize the DOJ/FBI/CIA to overthrow a duly elected President of the United States. The gaul and the audacity of that man. Who does he think he is anyway, obstructing such an effort?

I think it is safe to say you aren’t qualified to make that judgment.

You can almost see the fear in her eyes that she may never be invited back. What was that, a 12 person panel? CnN was on it today.

So now that the collusion theory is blown, a lot of posters here should take a step back, wipe the egg off their face and get behind this administration a little bit. Not being so negative will add make you feel better.

The report itself makes it so.

    Man this is getting embarrassing.

That's such a straw man argument the "bar" was never set at collision that was just a Republican talking point like this Republican is now doing.

Are you actually advocating that since no collusion was e evident we should now ignore everything else brought to light?

I notice you did not post your favorite Ben Shapiro about these findings.

    Why is that?
