This, from a political standpoint the Democrats already have sucked this dry once the report is released.

To continue is not good for the country and isn't going to be viewed by a majority of non partisan Americans.

Most Americans already have strong opinions about Trump and there is nothing that is going to change that.

After some of the gestapo like tactics used by Mueller's investigation in raiding the homes of elderly couples in the middle of the night and at 6 in the morning, wives in nightgowns rousted out of bed under threat of being beaten or shot if they failed to comply, one of which had 27 armed FBI officers - more troops than were deployed against Osama Bin Laden?

Barr is the more credible. Hands-down, case-closed, game-over.

Pelosi knows this and it's why she is tamping down the impeachment rhetoric.

Anyone still defending our mistake-in-chief should seriously consider counseling.

People that continue to use the word exonerated either can't read, isn't willing to read, or just simply don't give a care about truth.

IV. CONCLUSION Because we determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment, we did not draw ultimate conclusions about the President 's conduct. The evidence we obtained about the President's actions and intent presents difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional prosecutorial judgment. At the same time , if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.

I think someone earlier commented on the number of redactions . . . the WSJ has this graphic in its lead article at the moment:

That is a lot less redacted than was probably expected by most people. And of course both Barr and Mueller, and perhaps also Rosenstein will be testifying before Congress - publicly if Chairman Nadler will allow it. That should be enough.

In absolutely no way does that report clear Trump of criminal violations.

They refused to carry out the President's orders. "DO SOMETHING" tweet is him crying about it. Two ways to slice this. He was ineffective at obstruction justice. If he's effective, he would have clearly obstructed justice.

"The President 's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests. Corney did not end the investigation of Flynn, which ultimately resulted in Flynn's prosecution and conviction for lying to the FBI. McGahn did not tell the Acting Attorney General that the Special Counsel must be removed , but was instead prepared to resign over the President's order. Lewandowski and Dearborn did not deliver the President 's message to Sessions that he should confine the Russia investigation to future election meddling only. And McGahn refused to recede from his recollections about events surrounding the President's direction to have the Special Counsel removed, despite the President's multiple demands that he do so. Consistent with that pattern, the evidence we obtained would not support potential obstruction charges against the President's aides and associates beyond those already filed."

Criminal charges will not be coming against Donald Trump at the federal level.

The Report did not find sufficient evidence of collusion.

The Report did find lots of evidence of obstruction of justice. Mueller however read his powers very narrowly and referred any prosecution for obstruction of justice to........... the attorney general of the united states..... who happens to be William Barr..... and Barr stated that they will not be seeking any criminal punishment.

The evidence would implicate both Donald Trump and his son, among others.

However, there will not be any federal charges filed.

So ineffectual a leader that his own subordinates refused to follow his orders to obstruct. What a cuck.

Using anger at a phony investigation and associated illegal leaks as evidence of obstruction is textbook Andrew Weismann. Mueller let him run wild and Barr had to shut it down.

How that psychopath continues to fail upward after what he did to Arthur Andersen could only happen in government.
