ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 4/17/2019 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

Gotta avoid a letdown in Game 2 like last year against these guys.

 

The Jazz will keep Gobert much nearer the basket to prevent the lobs to Capela and for rim protection.

Different defenders will be thrown at Harden. Royce might be the primary guy. Mitchell and Ingles too, perhaps some others as well. Look for Rubio to pass the ball more. I think they will focus more on rebounding too.

A physical ugly game with cheating tricks is to be expected.

I want to see Chris Paul handling the ball slightly more often than James. I hope Chris will hit four to five threes along with his amazing mid range shots and passing.

Stopping Mitchell and keeping him in foul trouble remains the key to a Game 2 win along with strong rebounding and avoiding silly turnovers and cheap fouls.

I am confident in our team this year but I have no doubt that the refs will control our games. Game 1 didn’t help when Rockets kept driving the whole game without foul calls. We had over 60 pts in the paint without many fouls, that is hard to believe. Harden was getting fouled on the arms and body without any calls.

Scott Foster might change the outcome of a game but these other refs are not helping the strong bias against Rockets.

I'm not as confident in this game.

This is the most important game of the series. Winning in Utah is difficult.

Beware of the trap game. I'm concerned that our defense will let down based on the azz whooping the Jazz got.

We cannot allow the Jazz to tie this series.

 

I'm dying. When the other two keep following Harden while he does his cooking celebration, oh man... That's dead-on modern day Monty Python right there.

Rockets bench is way better, Rockets starters are better. The Rockets attitude needs to be right going into this game, don't take the Jazz lightly. They will be starving for a win.

 

The Rockets took Game 2 lightly last year and lost. The Warriors took Game 2 lightly last night and lost.

If they're not mentally engaged in this one, then I give up.

 

Rockets took both games in Utah last playoffs. But I agree with you, Rockets have to take care of business at home.

 

We haven't won crap, if the players are overconfident because we won a first round playoff game then I don't what to say. This is not a trap game. Defense should be just as good, game will definitely be closer due to scoring average for the Jazz players but easy Rockets 1H and full game spreads like game 1.

 

Boring win...can we just skip to GS.

 

if we gonna meet scoot foster evetually, i'd rather meet him in round 1. we would still beat the j*zz. i don't want no tony bros, foster and shiit in round 2.

 

Saving Foster and Brothers for the next round?

 

We'll probably get him eventually. The key is to get him on the road.
