He's out of there. Is that ok? Pitchers don't get yanked at the first, or even second, sign of trouble. They have a pen schedule as far as who can be used, who needs how much time to warm up, etc....

Outside of the 2 hammers at the back of the pen (and for now, Peacock), I am less than enthralled with our other options. Rondon and Harris are what they are, good guys to have situationaly but not the 3rd man you'd really like. James and Devo cannot be counted on at all, in any situation.

I think it will be Peacock's job once Whitley is up, or Luhnow will make a trade.

It was supposed to be James or Peacock, but one got slotted in the rotation and the other had high hopes as a youngster yet is not what was expected (I think his quad strain in ST has a bunch to do with it)

Not sure if McHugh or Pressly is the better trade/steal.

Harris's history doesn't give him the benefit of the doubt, and they were making hard contact off him. But what do I know--I'm just a charlatan behind a monitor. I agree we don't have a great 7th inning option right now

That's about the 12th strike Chirinos has stolen tonight. I really like him back there.

My point was that you're not going to put in a reliever to start the 7th while at the same time having another reliever warming up to be ready to come in after 2 or 3 batters. eta: unless you're playing righty/lefty/righty LaRussa shenannigans

While i would i agree, it would seem that was harris' 3rd sign of trouble. The santana ball was licked followed by the 2 hits. Granted, i was listening on the radio so i didnt have a visual but i was hoping harris was done after the ground rule double just because another hit would be a tie game.

8 in a row nonetheless. Go hinch.
