He does this. It’s infuriating. He doesn’t seem to appreciate the rebounding advantage manimal gives us, nor his work around the glass, nor the length he gives us to stick a hand in the face of opposing 4’s who have a huge mismatch on Tucker. I get so angry with MDA’s lineup choices sometimes. But this situation drives me absolutely nuts. He needs to play manimal more.
Too tall for this team. Which is crazy cause I thought he actually played well at the 4 for the limited minutes he did get earlier on. Even at the 5 I still think he’s a better option than Nene whose going to get out muscled by Adams anyways. Might as well put some points on the board to sustain.
Difference in coaches. Bzdelik isn't going to accept bad defense. You guys should've known he wasn't going to play Faried.
He is a very bad defensive player and he can't shoot. He's fallen out of 3 NBA rotations in the last 2 seasons for a reason. His energy may help us against GS given their lack of size outside Cousins leaves no place for Nene, but against most teams he's a square peg in the modern NBA.
Faried should have gotten 15 minutes as a backup 5. He is capable of giving some rim protection despite being undersized. His rebounding and his ability to finish at the rim would have helped. Capela could have played with him out on the key as a defender. Tuck could have moved out as a 3. Experience and toughness can make a difference. Nene is too old unfortunately .
Faried is terrible. Straight line to the rim every single time he’s playing defense. Plus he can’t shoot. Plus, even though his strength is rebounding, we get outrebounded with him out there. He’s not a winning player. He only plays good against bad teams, I hope he’s not back next year.
If you didagree that this line up is better C Capela PF Faried SF Tucker SG Harden PG Paul Then atleast give Faried the minutes he deserve. He's way better than Nene at both ends of the floor Faried >>>> Nene
People say Faried is undersized but is Nene seriously a better rebounder than Faried at this point even given the height advantage? I've seen Faried pluck rebounds from nowhere. Dude gets after the ball far better than Nene at his current age.
pretty sure theres no such thing as rotations being set in the stone. they're generally adjusted on a game basis. and i definitely dont think mda would of taken cp3 out when he was absolutely killing okc last night in the 4th.
I don't think there are set rotations except who starts the game. And there are some customary times that Harden sits down. However, it's a moot point, because if it was true that MDA did set the rotations, Bzdelik sure as hell did a terrible job at following them. We saw some downright bizarre combinations of players and timing last night. Stuff we haven't seen in other games. Decisions that are responsible for the loss to some degree.
Makes no sense how a dude with a crazy motor with a knack for rebounding, finishing at rim and can hit the 3 (when needed) is on the bench. Yeah he's lost on defense at times but the Thunder scored at will who was ****ing playing defense last night? He looks frustrated on the bench because he knows he can contribute.
