Fun movie. One thing that kind of bothered me was that Billy’s personality totally changed when he became a superhero. He is a normal, somewhat serious teenager, and then he turns into a 30 year old goofball.
Finally watched it and enjoyed it. One of the top DC movies(not saying much). I thought they treated this well as a comedy, but it was not all that great a comic book superhero movie. I would be okay if there was never another Shazam movie, let alone him teaming up with other DC heroes. It felt kinda like an independent comic book movie, like "Kick-Ass" did, and kinda should be treated as such. The fight scenes were not well done and all the other adult superheroes were annoying and corny as hell imo. The child actors were fantastic, especially the little sister. Id give it a 6.5/10 and probably wouldnt pay to watch a sequel.
Im just tired of seeing him in everything. Josh Brolin with a wig couldve looked exactly like him too. Being in a Marvel and DC movie would be uncouth though.
The problem with casting kid actors in these franchises, is by the time the second movie comes around, the kid has a full beard and mustache. Billy Batson looks like he's 25 in the trailer. Down with Hellen Miren as the main bad guy.
weird that the kid seems like such a serious kid but when he turns into kazam, he gets all goofy and stupid. also the next movie will have the kids post-college.
I'm in! Hopefully that was Globe Life Field in Arlington that was getting destroyed. Dallas Rangers suck!
what's taking so long with the next league of justice? who cares about origins and solos anymore, just copy one of the wealth of dc superfriends series/movies.
wasn't bad, just a little boring. this franchise is over. they need to wait a few years and reboot. maybe back to the original version of billy batson & captain marvel. the guy playing captain marvel should've been a one and done. he just doesn't have it to carry another movie.
