the front office did by not signing House. I know damn well we could have got at least one of those we lost with his help. one win is all it would have took not to be in this position.

The nuggets are food in the playoffs and they know it.

No team who has confidence in themselves is sacrificing a higher seed just to avoid another team.

Whole team full of b****made p*****s.

Not sure I should be happy or sad now with a Portland win?

We have less grip on the 3 seed but 2 seed suddenly opens up.

Can somebody convince me this is a good result for us?

I'm very happy. With the way we're rolling, I'm confident going into OKC. Meanwhile, 2 opportunities for Denver to get a loss and open up that home court advantage for round 2 (and easier 1st round opponent) is suddenly very, very doable.

Players aren’t going to tank. They have their pride and reputation to think about as well as playing for minutes and playing time. Coaches on the other hand know how to manipulate a game to complete a tank job but make it look “respectable.”

at this point, we should just play to win on Tuesday and let everything else settle themselves.

So just to catch up, Nuggets have two games left and Rockets have one (@OKC). So if Rockets beat OKC, then one loss by the Nuggets in either of their last two games gives the Rockets the tie-breaker over the Nuggets. But Portland can still pass Houston for the two seed if Rockets lose to OKC. Correct?

The Nuggets are a paper lion - easily dispatched.......we need to focus on beating OKC, and see where we land, 2 or 3.....if we lose we probably end up 4th against the Jazz.

No, if all 3 teams tie with 29 loses the Rox get the 2 seed, the best Portland can do is the 3 seed, IIRC.

If we win, Denver loses at least 1, we'll be #2.
If we lose, Portland wins out, we'll be #4.

Portland would need to win both. The odds are is the Rockets are at least the 3rd seed. I'm hoping for 2nd, which could be the difference in Harden getting a MVP.

Let me see if I have it right.

    Rockets win against OKC:
    Guarantees the 3 seed
Chance at the 2 seed if Denver loses

    Rockets lose to OKC:
3 or 4 seed most likely
Need a Portland loss and/or two Denver losses to avoid the 4 seed

That is why they should go hard at a perennial star or superstar like KD or Kawhi in the future.

    Results should not be important.

Playoffs dun matter if you have depth alone.

Portland will win out with their schedule. 4 seed is a real possibility.

I think that’s right. Problem is, Portland has two winnable games (@Lakers, home to SAC), putting pressure on Houston to get the road win at OKC. Denver has @Utah, home to Minnesota with @Utah their best chance to lose.

    If we get the fourth.

Utah is tough but Capela matches up well with Rudy.

Mitchell has to score 30 every night and Ingles over 20 to have a chance in this. Tall order.

They get Ricky back but that is not enough IMO.

Maybe a true test in the 1st round will prepare us for what's to come.

Who says an easy 1st rounder is always good.

Denver should lose to Utah, we just need to beat OKC - take care of our own House and we might end up 2, and at least 3....and avoid GS until WC finals.

Damn just realized Utah is down big in LA. They really need to beat the Lakers tonight.
