Kind of rooting for the Nuggets here. If they win, Rockets clinch at least the 3rd seed with a longshot chance at the 2 seed. Would also mean that we don't have to win Tuesday since the 3 seed is already sewn up...just in case something crazy happens in OKC (like Scott Foster suddenly showing his face at a Rockets game).
Yep, getting a guaranteed 3rd seed probably means going to the conference finals in 10 games which sounds good to me.
I think we'd still want to win though on Tuesday. We don't want OKC getting the 6th seed. Beating them all but guarantees we play either San Antonio or the Clippers.
Jazz move into 4th if they beat the Lakers and the Blazers lose tonight. But, I agree, we still want to win Tuesday.
Man this final part of the season is ****ing wild, so many possible outcomes tied to a couple of games...
I knew Malone was going to put crap in at the end of the game. Taking out Lyles who was playing well and putting in Hernangomez and IT was going to accomplish the tanking.
I will say this, if there's one fanbase that is probably more upset about Denver possibly tanking this game than ours, it would probably be Utah's considering that they would have moved into 4th if Portland had lost and they hold on for that win. Of course, they get to take it out on Denver on Tuesday when the Nuggets come to visit. Rockets will clinch the 2 seed with a win Tuesday and a loss by the Nuggets in either of their last two games. They can also clinch the 2 seed with a loss on Tuesday and Denver goes 0-2 in their last two games.
So obvious, Danver is giving this one away to Portland. LOL, they are trying to avoid the Rockets in the playoffs.
