Denver throwing a game away to Portland on purpose in hope of Houston falling to #4 seed!

Whelp i give kudos to the Nuggets. They know that they match up horribly with us and are making a gamble to avoid meeting us. Props to a team trying to do whatever they can to better their chance in the playoffs (legally.)

Games in November matter just as much as they do in April. Rockets wasted the first month of the season and it’s coming back to bite them.

 

A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side.

The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman.

Then, without a word, the older monk picked up the woman, carried her across the river, placed her gently on the other side, and carried on his 
journey.

The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless, and an hour passed without a word between them.

Two more hours passed, then three, finally the younger monk could contain himself any longer, and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?”

The older monk looked at him and replied, “Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river, why are you still carrying her?”

But seriously, there's no point in continuing to bring up the fact that we didn't take care of business when we should have this season. It's in the past. No more shoulda-woulda-coulda. It's a dead-end discussion at this point.

Right, but that game has no bearing on the tiebreaker. If the Clips their last two and OKC loses to Min/Mil or Hou/Mil, they get the tiebreaker over the Clips. OKC has to lose to Min/Hou to lose the tiebreaker if the Clips go 0-2

Dang it. This is going to make our last game with OKC a dogfight. I was hoping we could rest our starters in a meaningless game. Oh well.

Nasreddin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side, "Hey! How do I get across?"

"You are across!" Nasruddin shouted back.

 

Pluck that finish the season strong and go from there. This Rockets team has come together at the right time, plus its the D side of the court that the team has vastly improved. The bench is also deeper then last year's team.

So..would you rather the Rockets start off 18-3 and finish 10-11 or vice versa?

After all, the games mean the same.

 

Ok. But don't ask me to forget how the refs screwed us in the WCF last year! I'm going to carry that a while longer.
