Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Elgin Baylor, Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, George Gervin, Reggie Miller, Dominique Wilkins, etc.

These seem to be at the top of most lists. There is no doubt Harden is in the top 3. Individually, I don't think Stockton, Malone or Barkley have a case.

Harden is the best player to never win it all AFAIC.

SOme of those players have better careers due to sheer longevity like Malone and Barkley. We have to see how long Harden can sustain at least 2nd team All-NBA level of play. If he can do that for another 5-6 years ya he probably will have a better career than them.

Stockton and Malone definitely have a case.

Let's build those suckers up in order to feed Dream's legacy.

    Apparently, it's Giannis.

Also, that list is going to piss off TMac fans, and fans of Triple Doubles.

If he retired now he’d be above everyone on that list except Malone and Barkley. But after this season he won’t be on the list at all. : )

I’d put Elgin up there at the top. Dude led his team to 7 straight NBA Finals and was an underrated force. Great player who was overshadowed by the Celtics super-team (sound familiar).

Harden, at this point in his career, is probably above everyone else on that list at the same point in their careers. Maybe Iverson has a case from willing that ragtag squad of his to an NBA Finals and a Game 1 win, but I’m not sure anyone else could have done the same by themselves.

no he didn't. Maybe you mean 7 total v the Celtics??

There wasn't 7 Lakers v Celtics Finals in a row.

Obviously Malone and Baylor were studs

But I think on talent alone

    It’s harden and Barkley

I like harden more but I wouldn’t complain if ppl like Barkley more, he was a special player.

But I think harden gets ring before his career is over anyone.

He’s the best guard in the nba curry is second.

Anyone who’s the best guard and arguably the best player in the nba will win a ring.

Barkley was great but he was never considered the best player in the league or even in the discussion but he was a top 5 player like harden for a very long time.

The Jordan era screwed all those players in that era. Their primes all were when Jordan was winning 6 rings and the great dream was the only guy to capitalize when Jordan was retired.

Agree with this. Harden (for now). Then Barkley. Guy was a beast.

As much as I hate the j*zz and Malone along with osterfag and them but Stockton criminally underrated. Having said that Harden will go down as arguably the second best SG if he wins a ring. Offensively he has passed Kobe but a ring will ensure his legacy.

Jordan wasn’t retired for the Rockets second championship. That year Jordan was beaten by the Magic, whom the Rockets went on to sweep in the Finals.

I know that I didn’t think I need to go into detail on a rockets fan site.

But MJ also didn’t play but 30 something games plus the playoffs which don’t get me wrong it was an actually season legacy but there is “some” merit that it wasn’t a true regular season for him.

He was coming out of retirement and handnt played an nba game in almost 2 years.

But he did lose to the magic with Shaq and MJ was definitely on the court and that is a fact.

The point I was trying to make is that MJ and dream were the best in that 90s decade and that’s why they won 8/10 chips in the 90s era.

That’s baller that dream won b2b chips that’s really hard to do MJ or no MJ.

    I’m a big kobe fan.

His drive and work ethic are things that should be admired. Not many players have his drive and mindset for winnng that’s ever player the game, factor in he has 5 rings and the Proof is right in front of our eyes.

Kobe is overeats by his fans he’s not the best player ever like that think or more talented than Lebron but he’s underrated by ppl that’s arnt hardcore kobe fans.

Imo he’s a top 10 player without a doubt based on his talent but mostly his mindset on winning and his unparalleled work ethic.

With that said I do think harden is a much better offensive player.

That’s no knock on kobe because I think theirs a real case to be made that he’s the best and most dominant offensive player off all time.

If he can win a ring theirs. It doubt in my mind that’s harden deserved to be considered the 2nd best SG ever and a top 10 player off alltime.

Hr wins 3+ rings he need to be in the goat convo or at the least top 5 ever.
