Strong divisional matchup and opportunity to right some wrongs. Let's establish some home dominance this year -- both hitting and pitching. Go Stros !!!
I will be going to game tonight. I can't remember the last time I was at a game that the Astros were below 0.500 (guessing early 2016). Do you do anything different cheering for a team with a losing record than you do for a winning record? Do you still eat hot dogs the same way? Do you have to sacrifice a goat? Wait, Cubs found out the hard way that goat worshipers will curse you for disrespecting goats. Scratch that.
Maybe the Astros will have more runs per game at home than away this year? They've scored more runs on the road the last couple of seasons.
There's just something wrong with opening our 2019 home slate without Verlander on the mound in any of the 3 games. I honestly think it was pretty shitty to have us play 2 straight road series to open the season, but I'm probably just being nit-picky.
As someone who likes weekend games, I prefer home opener on a Friday even if we have a second road series.
Hit hard by Brantley right to 1B. BABIP luck is pretty low right now. And while I'm here, glad to be part of another Astros season on Clutchfans. Home openers are always fun.
I want to see someone tonight, not sure who but it's been a long time for any of them, hit the damn ball about 427 feet. I would also accept 3 175-foot-gappers in the same inning.
