No doubt you are correct. Once Harry Reid set the precedent, both sides will always use this. I was not the one whining about it. I did not like it when Reid first started it but once did everyone knew both sides would be using it. McConnell, probably the biggest scumbag in the Senate since that ******* Storm Thurmond died, would have gone nuclear option no matter what Reid did. After all, scumbag McConnell won't let anyone vote for anything he doesn't want approved like Merrick Garland. Anyway, Reid didn't do it for Supreme Court justices, he did it for god damn district judges because Republicans were blocking them aIll and that's why you're a bunch of hypocrites,

 

The GOP and the conservatives have gotten very sophisticated in hacking the Democratic defects in our Constitution to ensure that as they gradually lose power, especially with the demographic changes that are coming as white rural males will be unable to maintain them in power. A great example of this is seen here with the nuclear option and the various tactics used by McConnell and others to block the appointment of judges by the Obama administration both at the Supreme Court level and in the federal district courts

It is not going to be moderate or polite or centrist tactics by the Democrats which will be able to reverse the effects of these tactics for any time in the foreseeable future. Therefore will be necessary to consider similar sort of tactics such as packing the courts or passing statutes to expand the federal judiciary at all levels or 2 term limit Judges,..

 

Did you even look at what NewRoxFan posted, reposted below in case you somehow missed it? How can you possibly reconcile what McConnell did during the last 2 years of Obama's presidency, and what he has done since trump was "elected" with the truth? Comparing what Reid did to McConnell's actions is nonsensical.

What in the heck are you even talking about? Are you having trouble keeping up with the conversation? The topic is use of the nuclear option. What you posted has absolutely nothing to do with use of the nuclear option that we were discussing. The Republicans took back the Senate in 2014 so use of the nuclear option was not even on the table for the Democrats. Had Harry Reid not used the nuclear option then the Democrats would still be able to block Trump appointments but once Reid did what he did he set the precedent and now the Democrats are powerless to block any appointments. Now they b**** about use of the nuclear option and in there true ever hypocritical fashion they conveniently forget who started it.

 

When you add up Obama’s last term, he has a higher confirmation rate than W’s final term.
