I give Bucher a lot of credit for this. I've never been a fan of his, but he admits that he felt entirely different about this until he spoke to the players. That's a pretty big thing to do, admit you were wrong. Big ups to him. The guy who did that Kobe townhall with Kobe tried to mock James Harden and Kobe praised him. Kevin Frazier was floored and tried to get Kobe to agree that Harden shoots too much, too many bad shots, etc. Kobe praised him some more and called him relentless, said he takes good shots, etc. Frazier just moved on lol.
Naw, its on the fence. If we dont defend him then who will? Rockets and James need to focus, we are just fans. We should be fighting for our guy. in this case it isn't even blind loyalty, he is being slandered and unfairly discounted, and his legacy is being determined by uninformed idiots. Its our job to blast the numbers, respond to debunked narratives, shut them down.
Whatever happened to that ESPN feature Windhorst alluded to at the all-star break about players saying they don't respect Harden's game? Did it come out? If Harden wins player MVP vote but loses on the media MVP vote, that would be 3 times his peers felt he was the most deserving MVP despite winning it only once. What would Windorst have to say to that?
I think he’s highly exaggerating the amount of hate that Harden receives from his peers because it’s pretty much nonexistent...Harden gets respect from players, not hate Windhorst just wanted that narrative out there
THIS! The media is telling outright lies and spreading misinformation, and it’s being deemed as factual. Harden has no one to make intelligent arguments on his behalf on these shows. Rockets fans should never let up.
I think there's a strong chance that the players that Windhorst gets his info from do hate Harden. There's no question that Lebron is salty AF about Harden at this point.
Yeah, but how many players was it really? The way this dude was talking, you’d swear it was half the guys at the ASG, but I bet it was really like 2 or 3 guys. I also don’t put it past him to turn a statement like “I think some of the fouls he gets are cheap or unfair” to player X hates Harden.
I mean you only need 2 to say "players" lol. So he could do a piece for ESPN and say "players around the league" said that to him when it was just Lebron and Tristan Thompson. He could add that "NBA execs and former NBA execs say the same" when it means David Griffin and Lebron's friend James Jones lol.
look at lebrick, he was MVP candidate every year when he was in the east. first year out west, lebrick can't even make all NBA 3rd team... giantanus is overrated
the vast majority of players love or respect Harden, I think there’s very few that hate, but here we have Windhorst trying to put out some narrative that a lot of the game’s top players hate Harden...I think he’s over exaggerating the work he did at the ASG when it was probably 2 or 3 dudes at most that had something truly negative to say

lol yeah there have been a few instances I have personally seen on the Jump where the dude is just giddy saying that when he talks to the players they all back Giannis.
