Perhaps with the Gaine era their mindset has changed, but this has NEVER been this front office's MO. Considering our best RB ever was found as an UDFA and our highest drafted RB ever was Ben Tate in the second round... I don't see these guys drafting a 4.50 - 40 RB that had every single thing going for him in college. I could easily see them going for DL, DB, or TE over RB in the first round. Guys like Noah Fant, Dexter Lawrence, and Greedy Williams immediately come to mind as instant impact playmakers that could carry lengthy careers in the league.
While watching NFL Live on bspn and their Russel Wilson special, they flashed a name on the draft board that was taken before him at 68 in the third rd- Devier Posey. LOL. 2 picks later at 70, the jags took punter Bryan Anger. More LOLs. Seattle then took Russ at 75 and the rest is history.
One of my faves in the draft. Was hoping he would at least make it the 3rd round. He probably won't now that he's getting the recognition. Let's hope they don't start talking about Layne. He's already been moving up draft boards. I would still take him the 1st.
Cant let the top OT's be gone. Gotta trade up in front of Kubiak/Vikings if you want one of the top OT's.
Only a few really good OT and even less that can start at LT from day 1. I'm just saying, if the top 3 are gone, I hope we go for BPA. I'm not really in favor of trading up. I'd rather trade down and try to plug as many holes as we can.
he's had some concussion problems. for his price I'd rather have someone healthy or that can stay healthy
I'm liking Lonnie Johnson more and more. Wish he was there at 54 but I know he's going to be gone and Texans won't draft him in the first.
Amani Hooker out of Iowa would be the perfect Badger replacement/3rd Safety. He’s drawn comparison to Mathieu in how he’s used all over the field. Likely goes late 2nd-early 3rd. Just one of our many needs
Texans should look to get Benny Snell. He has not been talked about lately so he is somewhat under the radar.
