For some people it is so hard to face the truth about Trump that they will ignore it and try and claim others are making things up, even though, as you say, there is the video of him saying those creepy things. Why is Trump derangement syndrome a label for people who are negative about him? The label seems more fitting for folks who are trying to pretend that he didn't say the things he has actually stated.

It's April 2019. Most people are not even aware of the other candidates, that's why he & Bernie lead for now- simple name recognition. Joe's creepiness has seen coverage in NYT and WaPo, among many other MSM outlets. There may be a lefty celebrity or two out there who are being hypocrites by giving Biden a pass but not Kavanaugh, for example, but the American left has been holding their own politicians to account (remeber Al Franken?) far, far, far more than the American right. Donald Trump's accountability-free life has, incredibly, continued exactly as it was before- even after attaining the highest office in the land. He can do and say whatever the hell he wants, and no one who matters will hold him accountable. It's incredible. Man, I remember the Gore vs. Bush days in 98 & 99 when the right was nonstop "let's restore dignity to the White House." Man, how times have changed.
No what it is showing is that people can understand that what he does is not appropriate but does not rise to the point of reprehensible behavior. Also those polls are before the news has really saturated the public he will definitely slip some.

Prediction: This will impact zero percent of the electorate. If its about personality, character, and decency towards women/minorities, that's a debate Biden or anyone else will make all day every day. But... any candidate for the Dems has to know that these faux scandals will be something that can potentially take away from the coverage they get of their policy issues like they did with Hillary. Trump ran on simple minded populist issues. His voters thought their lives would be better if he was president to try and solve those issues. The Dem candidates issues won't be so simplistic that you can have Trump level scandals and still people know where the main bullet points (IE: Kick out all the brown people). Whether it be Biden, Kamala, etc. they all need to know that they need to get their message & policy points out there. If you are caught up in a faux scandal like this, you need to find a way to steal the media A block and find a way to rinse repeat your message bullet points or the simplistic American electorate you need to vote for you out of their interest will just not hear you above all the noise.
As I said weeks ago, the Bernie supporters pose the biggest risk to the Democrats not winning in 2020. Their messiah complex with Bernie is almost as bad as Trump supporters. Yes... if Flores was groped then she needs to be able to talk about it.... BUT seeing as though this wasn't sexual assault or really only awkward behavior more than sexual, she has the ability with her connections to Biden to just freaking call the guy first. Tell him how he made you feel. Wreaks of a political smear campaign, and shows horrible signs of what Bernie's crew is going to do to try and win the nomination. If Bernie is so great... win the nomination fair and square. Leave the dirty tricks to Trump. It might help you win the nomination, but it will hurt you or the other candidate in the general & help Trump. Self defeating bratty behavior at best.
