LOL He didn't but he did talk to player(s) at the all-star game and did do a feature on ESPN and those asshats on The Jump do believe that ("Harden doesn't play the right way"). So he was your "leader", really did nothing to "lose" it, and now he no longer is? OK...
Thats such a bull crap, when players are hating just in order to hate.. What does it mean he isnt playing the right way.. He is putting more points then anyone not named Chamberlain and Wilt.. He is not even attempting as many shots as Kobe, Westbrook and Jordan did in their best years.. He is doing this while Capela has his best season with 17 ppg, Gordon is averaging 17 a game CP3 is averaging 17 a game, House a G league player is having a career year.. he is second in league is steals, and a very good post defender.. he never was a wing defender and does not have that type of lateral quickness.. he doesn't gamble and gets most of his steams by being in the lane due to his cat like reflexes that are on full display when on offense.. He has taken his offense up several notch, because he was playing next to G league players, PJ tuckers and so on
I’d have a really hard time giving the MVP to anyone but Harden last year. And I don’t think Harden was a less deserving candidate compared to Westbrook in 2017, as EWA would suggest. Even if we had a perfect measure for “wins added”, and EWA is far from that, I don’t think value should mean exactly that. For example. A player might add 15 wins to a team that wins 40 games, while another player adds 10 wins to a team that wins 60 games. Which of those is more “valuable”? I think it’s debatable.
The argument that Giannis plays less minutes because the Bucks blow out other teams regularly doesn’t hold up when you look at the data. I had also thought that was the case, but even in competitive games Harden averages about 5 more minutes a game compared to Giannis.
If Harden gets ripped off he’s going to come back next year and tear the whole league a new one. Harden just wants to be the best. He’s improved so much since we first got him and he will improve again. Next 2 seasons Harden will be in peak form. Media hating on him so much just gives him more fuel. That said, I still think Harden wins MVP this year. Holding on hope.
The bbref mvp odds tracker has it closer than I can remember it being all year. And it’s still not close. Giannis - 49.8% Harden - 25.5% I know it’s not how the tracker works, but you would think at this point everyone should have a 0.0% next to their name other than those two and MAYBE <1% for Jokic.

Really? So the Bucks could have the home court throughout the playoffs and yet you think being 3rd in the west is more "valuable"? You didn't say impressive you said "valuable". You are FLAT OUT WRONG!!!
"The Jump" is quite the echo chamber and the confirmation bias is high. Unless I am missing it, there are only *two* TV personalities that have raised the flag for James Harden 1) Paul Pierce (of all people) 2) Candace Parker I guess Nick Wright as well. But those 2 players above.
nice play on words but it still cant change the fact that hardens team was more successful than giannises the 1st seed in the east( as well as winning the east in the playoffs) aint mean a ****! just ask LeEast if you dont believe me
"Look at the FG% for Giannis." I saw PTI a while back and Wilbon said he was on Basketball-Reference for an hour comparing Harden's numbers to Jordan's and his takeaway was how much higher Jordan's FG% was. It's pretty ridiculous how uninformed the voters are. Maybe they should have to pass a remedial statistics course first.
