It is more that Shaq sees himself in Giannis. "Gotta dominate in the paint" /ShaqVoice All these analysis, just stan for player that remind them of themselves. Unfortunately there isn't really anyone like Harden before.
That's true, but I have nothing against Giannis. If Harden was rightfully given his MVP over Westbrook I would have no issues with Giannis winning it this year. I always think the MVP should come from a player from the top 3-5 teams...it just sucks that year they gave it to Westbrook.
There are going to be many people who vote for Giannis after voting for Westbrook in 2017 and it's just going to be so damn annoying.
Those voters clearly like snarling faces! The snarling face means they care and are better. Thus MVP.
"I was pro-Harden at the all-star break but then I talked to some players(LeBron?) at the all-star break, did a feature on it at ESPN and they said they hated James Harden and the way he plays. Along with Scottie Pippen, Rachel Nichols, Tracy McGrady and the rest of The Jump crew saying "he doesn't play the right way", that convinced me enough. I'm now voting Giannis."
****** Windbhag can’t even come to a decision on his own. Is this his vote, or is he just the 1 submitting the vote for Pippin and T-Mac? Man, fck this fool never forget that he said he would rather be spit on in the face than get punched...clown
What's annoying is how they acted like the Triple Double was an automatic qualifier... But Westbrook is still averaging a triple double...and you won't find a single media member campaigning for his MVP. Westbrook's MVP award is in thanks to Durant. They created his huge narrative that since Durant left Westbrook was literally playing with 13 random dudes off the street and he had carried them to the 6th seed...and no one dared argue against that or argued that Harden was also carrying his team to a better record. No one talking about team record ever considers the fact that the Rockets lost CP3 and Capela for a huge chunk of time, Rockets also lost superstar All NBA player Danuel House for a huge chunk of time, no one considers that.
Was thinking the exact same thing. Giannis in the paint is very similar to Shaq in the sense he can bully his way to a dunk. Shaq, I’m more than sure loves seeing it.
This is that NIKE money hard at work. I guarantee you fat **** Windshart is somehow on Nike (a.k.a. LeBron)'s payroll.
Honestly, I think it should be the main factor. Maybe not the only one but I would have been ok with Harden winning in 2015 and losing 2017 and 2018 given this stat and given who led the league in it. I do recognize team success, surrounding talent, "clutch" performances in high pressure situations and injuries should also be taken into account. All of those favor Harden vs. Giannis except team success. Again, I think wins added should be the ultimate definition of "value". What do you think?
