$68,000? How did they come up with that figure? Must have been some negotiating to get to that figure.
Think it's simple. She was getting sexed. Saw a future in it. Didn't work out. She sues because she felt entitled.
This is probably the most ignorant post I have seen in a good 6 months. 68 thousand isn’t enough for a “thot”? Being a “thot” is a career? A “thot” ends her “career” by suing? He should have double paid her so she would have sex with him again but this time it would be consensual? This post is wrong on so many different levels...
Right, or he invited her to his apartment, spot in her face, punched her in the face and tried to rape her. We already know you are cool with hitting a woman so not surprised about your opinion on this case. I have no idea what happened but the allegations are serious.
She could be a money chasing liar or he can be a complete monster. One of them is a victim but no way for any of us to have a legitimate opinion at this point.
I doubt that she's chasing money if she was willing to take 68k. I also find it hilarious that Cuban knew about the rape allegation and welcomed him with open arms. What a pathetic culture of human trash
No , I mean the perception and destruction of someone’s reputation by being accused. We have due process and are a country of laws for a reason. People that commit these crimes should be punished in the harshest way possible
That isn’t unique to a woman accusing a man of rape. Being accused of being a pedo or domestic violence or murder or theft all carry a stigma.
This basically solidifies in my mind that he knew about the sexual harassment going on in his front office and did nothing to stop it (or even enabled it).
They one responsible is the media not the accuser. Also this occasion is not the right one to lament the destruction of reputation. Kobe, Rose, Bradley and P. George are doing just fine and everyone seems to suffer from memory loss. Even the Celtics player currently in prison didn't gather much attention. If anything they managed to save their public image despite all the horrible disgusting things they did.
Of course he knew... he has an extremely high IQ, micro manages the Mavericks and is present and involved in the day to day operations.
The #metoo movement is different from seeking justice and protection from the law, #metoo movement as its name implies is a movement by the social populace rather than done by actual law enforcement members. You can't get arrested if somebody says does the #metoo on you, however you will face social stigma and might be investigated if the movement takes hold. Not really sure what is patronising or condescending about it, its a real movement done by women who have been abused.
There is a whole lot of ignorance going on here. I can't believe how many of you are so quick to choose a side when we know almost nothing about it except the accusation exists. I have zero idea who is lying. I'll wait until a whole lot more is known before even attempting to form an opinion other than the obvious; this is a very bad look for a Mavs organization that just went through a sexual harassment scandal.
Holding judgement until more evidence comes out etc. Obviously if it’s true, then he’s about as much of a low life as you can be. However, I’d hate to call someone a horrible piece of crap if it comes out later that he didn’t actuallly do this. Too many times people rush to judgement, and if they are proven wrong, they move on and act as if they never really even said a thing. For instance, the Osuna situation. Remember the “Astros trade dignity for Osuna.” Again not saying there’s definitive proof he didn’t do it, but in this day of age we tend to forget about due process.
How about not paying attention to clickbait garbage like TMZ, DailyMail or Twitter "journalists" and wait for the police/FBI investigation before claiming someone is a rapist or gold digger etc. There are two known facts: KP went to the FBI for Extortion and the woman to the police for rape. KP went to the FBI weeks before the rape accusations. So he pretty much initiated a federal investigation about what happened that night and after it. That alone shows to be really careful with pre-judgements.
There is no problem with taking a side with what we know. And right now the story leans toward Porzingis. She admittedly tried to extort money. KP went to the police with the extortion plot. She waited one year to report the rape. Those appear to be the facts we have. Neither one in my opinion, give her story and accusation any credibility. Without a witness, or admission, which seen unlikely, I don't know how a jury could buy it.
