Good thing is Detroit needs to win today to avoid being in that fight for 8th seed scenario in the east.
Detroit will win tonight. We win out and Blazers split 1 with Denver or lose both. I feel good about us getting 3rd seed. GSW will probably be mad about last night loss and win out also
I think the Blazers will lose one or even two games against Denver, i don't see us end up at the 2nd spot but 3rd is ok in the end (assuming we take care of our business of course), i hope we get Clippers or Jazz in the 1st round, Spurs would still be ok though, afterall it seems like there's no weak team so...here's what i hope: Warriors Nuggets Rockets Blazers Jazz Clippers Spurs Thunder
Better hope Portland loses to Detroit tonight. Detroit is rested and has a lot to play for. If Portland wins that game...you have to wonder if they will pick up enough losses for the Rockets to catch them. Can't assume Portland drops BOTH Denver games. Rockets NEED *TWO* Portland losses. Rockets might even have to *win out* just to get the 3rd seed. Current bracket is below. Playoffs started today the Rockets in the 4 seed vs Utah on the GSW side of the bracket. GSW and OKC first round. That Denver side of the bracket? WIDE OPEN!
We only have one good opponent left which is OKC, so we could win the rest. We beat OKC and we can keep them on bottom and take 3rd over Portland. With them playing Denver twice we choose our destiny. I hope OKC loses to both us and MIL and stays on bottom. San Antonio does have the edge over Utah with only one tough opponent left which is Denver. Utah has Denver and the Clippers left. As for the Clippers, well they can easily drop to the 7th spot with GSW, us, and Utah left to play.
Might just be me but I’d rather see GS in the second round assuming we go into the playoffs fully healthy. The further we get into the playoffs to higher the risk for injury.
Uh, the Rockets have a very difficult game vs LAC still. It is on the second night of a B2B. Rockets haven't even beaten the Clippers this season. And struggled with them last season. Doc Rivers knows how to make things uncomfortable for his former star, Chris Paul. Kings in Sacramento won't be a cake walk either. OKC and LAC will be TOUGH!
Not sure why this seems to be the consensus. We are older and would benefit from seeing them in the second round. No?
Harden 50/60 points coming Jokes aside i agree, we can't take these games for granted, we need to take care of our business first and some of the games we have to play are no cakewalks, and we know the Rockets play against inferior teams sometimes...
I agree, but with our team healthy we better beat the Clippers. This will be our chance to knock them down, and I hope we do. We will need James, Paul, Clint and Gordon to be healthy and doing what they do best!! We are the better team, so we can't play stupid. As for Sacramento, yeah, I agree, no cakewalk, but SAN, POR, and Utah play them too.
