Hillary Clinton created the bullshit dossier as a means to gaslight the Trump-Russia collision conspiracy in the event that Donald Trump won the election.

In an attempt to legitimize the documebt’s content, she has John McCain deliver the document to James Comey.

This was intended to spark a media frenzy that would push congress, the president, and the FBI to investigate the document’s claims.

This clearly worked, as James Comey even briefed the pre-inaugural president Trump on the dossier.

The media frenzy was meant to antagonize members of Trump’s campaign — to sow the idea of “collusion” as a legitimate crime that had been committed. All the meanwhile members of Trunp’s campaign would begin to turn on each other and lie to the FBI in order to protect themselves from accusations of collusion (due to their incidental contact).

    Pardons are coming.

I'll have to keep saying this because Trump's supporters keep saying the Steele Dossier was bs, like it is a settled issue. The Steele Dossier was surprisingly on point on many of the broad strokes of the Russian election meddling conspiracy and Trump campaign's contacts with Russian agents. If it got some facts wrong and even if it was wrong in its implication that Trump was conspiring, it was still generally right despite being reported in real time without the benefit of the FBI or CIA investigating. I don't consider it to be bullshit at all.

Since it is not bullshit, I don't consider it a scandal for Hillary Clinton. I don't consider it a miscarriage of justice that James Comey took it seriously or that FISA courts may have considered it when they issued warrants. I don't think it's ridiculous that they briefed Trump on the risk it represented. I don't think it was negligent for Buzzfeed to publish it. I do think it is a shame that right-wing talking heads and bbs posters are trying to bury the Dossier's body right in plain sight.

And John McCain took it seriously enough to hand over to the FBI during the campaign....

    Another reason Trump hates McCain.

Would you like to post which parts of the dossier have been shown to be false? We know there are parts that were shown to be true and they have been posted on these forums. I'm still waiting to see posts showing the other side.

So far, I've only seen claims like yours and @cml750's that seem baseless without any evidence to back them.

Trump cracks me up. He sounds way more like a wrestler than the president.

Hillary Clinton HAD NOTHING to do with the Dossier. It was commissioned FIRST by Republicans, then democrats got involved.

Oh....there is proof of Collusion, but not to the level of being criminal. There is ALOT of dirt in the report. Barr chose not to proceed. Wait for the release.

this is false. What you are referring to is a Republican (Bill Kristol probably) hiring Fusion GPS to do opponent research on Trump. They stopped funding though before the Fusion GPS dossier was even started. The dossier was funded/commissioned by Clinton. But even if you were right (you aren't), Kristol supported Clinton over Trump so what difference would it make?

This is also false. Barr and Mueller and Rosenstein thought there was nothing that proved collusion. Not just Barr. I think you are conflating collusion with obstruction, which Mueller pathetically passed on to Barr and Rosenstein. They thought nothing proved obstruction. It would be very hard to suggest obstruction for a crime that doesn't exist.

wont know what? we do know Mueller said he couldn't prove any collusion and we do know he punted on obstruction. Unless you think Barr and Rosenstein are lying about that and Mueller is ok with them lying. We do know Barr and Rosenstien saw no proof of both collusion and obstruction. What you are waiting for is what evidence Mueller thought was not enough to convict not one American on. Let me ask you this Scarface, Mueller couldn't prove one American conspired with Russia. Not one. So how close do you think he was to actually proving Trump, the top dude, colluded?

As for the dossier stuff, of course we know the Republicans didn't fund it. Its been testified to that Republicans stopped funding in May and Steele was hired in June (Hillary started funding in April). Unless you want to claim Steele isn't the author of the dossier, which is possible, then it was funded by Hillary.

We do know these things. You are just in denial.
