This thread didn't show during "Thread Search" before I posted mine. Never really followed this incident, but some of the posts from get-go seemed this incident was suspect. Regardless, not much will happen to Smo. Money is powerful, especially when no "real" victims.

Well, there's this. Meaning that originally, Smollett was content to have 2 innocent white men be arrested and charged with a hate crime to push his faux narrative. Now it appears that 2 black men will have to be sacrificed to save his reputation.
Smo was highly foul. He was never my style from jump, being honest. Punishment.... Make a public statement (video) stating his *exact* fraudness AND intent. No sugar-coated **** --- Trust, that would be some of realest **** ever recorded hearing the actual words out of his mouth. And a Large Fine (several millions). Put the money to good use.

I don't have any issue looking into it (wouldn't they have done that already?), but a pretty thorough police investigation didn't turn up anything Indicating Smollett was working with anyone else when he did this. Because of political involvement after the event. I will say this: if there was political involvement in staging the event that would be HUGE.
Agree...and this is more a symptom than a cause...ie, people have lost faith because our justice system is being exposed as being very corrupt. Which is something a lot of people (everyone?) should be very concerned about.
