It was a bad game It had some bad refs We played badly It happens I am unconcerned Tucker 1-8 Harden 1-9 Gordon 0-5 That is the ball game right there. No Green Threes fall we win They don't we don't 2 - 22 Less than 10% I truly don't expect this to happen much more often Everyone take a deep breath. Relax. it is not the time to panic not yet .. . . .. 80+ page game thread . . . never happens when we win it seems Indication that the whiners and haters and russian bots are out in abundance For the rest of the Rocket True Fans . . . .. have heart cause we have Harden We will bounce back Let's get ready for the Nuggets They are kind of the Bucks West . . .without a Giannas *grin* Rocket River
If anything, hopefully this provides extra motivation and some things to work on and adjust before the playoffs. Considering how bad they were on offense, they somehow managed to stay close to striking distance. Just couldn’t hit any shots.
This was a big game for us and there were two things that did concern me: * we didn't match their defensive intensity * too many turnovers Cut the turnovers in half and hit a few more threes and this would have been a solid win. Both of those are fixable
I don't think it's an overly concerning game, but I'm curious if other teams start to adopt the Bucks strategy on Harden. It clearly slows him down, though not everybody has their personnel to pull it off.
I'm concerned , but not because of the MIL game . Here's a list of things that worry me 1) harden health / wrist & cervical injury / MDA - no rest 2) CP3's ability to bring his A game 4+ times in a series . His body is kind of out of his control at this point . If he feels good , he dominates , if he's banged up then elements of his game start becoming less viable 3) clints hand / defensive timing 4) shooting . Can we be more consistent ? 5) backup center . What to do ? Will farried be healthy / Nene ?
I'm actually glad we lost against the style of defense as played by the Bucks. This gives a new wrinkle for Harden to adapt and eventually overcome. Hope MDA and Harden work on how to beat that kind of defense, because you know a lot more teams (especially in the playoffs) are going to take a look at the tape and figure that it's the best way to defend him.
It's actually a stupid defense. Harden easily gets 12-16 points in floaters. Our shooters just didn't hit open shots and with preparation, I think we can generate more open shots from the defense they're playing. Plus, Lopez and Bledsoe aren't the splash brothers, they were just on fire last night.
The Bucks did the same thing in our first meeting this year, exaggeratedly sitting on Harden's left hand and daring him to drive into their big men. I'm glad to see that nobody else jumped on this idea afterwards, but it's disconcerting that MDA didn't have some counter this time around.
Yup. Would have liked to see us try to go smaller at some point with a 5th shooter on the floor to draw Brook Lopez out of the paint a little more, though obviously that would have hurt defensively. But really when it comes down to it...the Rockets missed wide open looks all game. They’re not going to beat many teams shooting the way they did yesterday.
Interior defense needs to improve. Bledsoe had a field day attacking the rim. Rebounding is still concerning. Harden's floaters are usually on the money. Last night was an anomaly.
With ref uhh...incompetence spiking up the in-game drama, we gotta make sure shots fall regardless of whether the winds blow for or against us
Like game 7 last year? That’s not comforting enough. What’s comforting is if there was adjustments when missed threes happen....because they seem to be happening often in big games.
