She has 0 chance to be the next president. Her odds are the same as 2pac and snoop dropping hits in 80's while she was getting high af.

Are you talking out the side of your neck or can you produce facts to back it up?

After almost two whole days, Fox viewers can finally be outraged again.

What kind of message does this send to actual victims who deserve to be believed?

This is not going to affect white people accused of fake crimes, but it will result in real victims being ignored

Hate has won , honest AA's have lost, I am devastated

Have you read the full Mueller report?

He’s apparently innocent of crimes and free from prosecution per the Barr summary. Doesn’t mean anyone has to now sit here and say he acted appropriately. Especially since nobody has access to the report yet. Exoneration is basically subjective when you don’t have all the facts and you still have “opinion crimes”. Like saying “Russia if your listening”... or staging a hate crime for publicity.

    Is that fair?

Smollett himself is still judged here as if he committed the crime but only getting off due to political interference. Folks that are demanding the public exonerate Trump of any and all wrong doing are the same ones fuming about Smollett.

Just pointing out simple hypocrisy. I think “opinion crimes” should be seperated from talking about actual litigated criminal acts. If Smollet isn’t innocent and Trumpers are allowed to b**** and moan, there’s no reason people who believe what Trump did do isn’t right shouldn’t have the right to feel some sort of injustice was served.

I looked up Wikipedia's article about the crazy girl who carved up her own face:

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Todd_mugging_hoax

Looks like she got probation and counseling as a first time offender, but it was in Pittsburg. I'm guessing that that isnt what the Fox News croud would have been looking for.

A very fair question, and one which the press, if it were doing its job at all, would ask her.

I think there is going to be some significant fallout from this. Had they arranged a plea deal or something, I think that would have passed fairly unnoticed. To simply drop the charges on a case that seemed more air tight and wrapped up than any I can think of...that's going to cause lots of people to ask 'Why?'. Especially when the Chicago Mayor and police are behind wanting answers.

I think lots of rocks are going to get turned over, and they will find lots of smelly stuff under those rocks.

I also haven't seen much on what this does to the federal charges he faced. Were those dropped as well? I wouldn't have thought the state prosecutor had that ability.

OK. The way everybody was going on I had assumed you guys were expecting a whole lot more, like time in Supermax.

To me, it doesnt seem like that big of a jump from one to the other, especially after he did community service. As a famous guy, the hit to his career for dumbassery is probably the biggest downside for him. Probation honestly is not much of a punishment at all - more of an inconvenience.

I mean, seems a bit unfair, but it seems to me like there are bigger miscarriages of justice that happen every day. It seems pretty par for the course in our arbitrary justice system.

But I guess I can see how the difference might have some sort of symbolic value or something.

It's posts like this that give D&D such a poor reputation and forces people to avoid this place. Talk about fake news. There is NO proof that she had any role in this.

Of course folks wanted a conviction and some sort of punishment. His previous community service is a question mark. Probation isnt a walk in the park in many cases. But dropping charges is just surprising with so much evidence. The outrage will die down. Some portions of the population need a few breaks with law enforcement.
