In 2016 we did have a President pandering to groups that spawned cop killers. We have never had a a President pandering to the Dylan Roof types except in the mind of twisted leftist.

I don't ever remember Obama pandering to the New Black Panther Party or the Nation of Islam. I'm certainly going to have to see the receipts for that.

How so? So if our country has a systemic law enforcement problem which is under the purview of the President, he can't address the issue?

First, it's a discussion of a proffesion that has substantial authority vs making false claims about religious and racial groups.

Second, I thinks it's obvious now that the level of **** taking Trump does, the hyperbolization of anecdotes and stories of Muslims, blacks and Mexicans are far more toxic than Obama's desires for police reform based on evidence for DOJ investigations in departments like Ferguson pd because they come from a sincere standpoint rather than a standpoint of pandering to the base desires of his base .

Some of it is Pew and some of it is the number of terrorist attacks which is rising.

    Man, it's so predictable.

Talk about any issue related to race and you'll always have a conservative pop up with "What about black on black crime though???" as if it has any relevance to the topic at all.

Can you tell me what the relevance here is? You realize, several members of this thread aren't even black, and are still worried about Trump's rhetoric? Trump's rhetoric is most toxic towards Muslims and immigrants from South America, not black people (although his history there is shameful) but really, what is the relevance here?

Also, do you not see the irony in posting such a picture? How do you think posting a picture that assumes black people don't care about black on black crime (completely false, you just don't protest gangs...) is helping any kind of discussion about race?

    dying of whiteness

Tells the story of how using race to cut back on benefits for blacks is actually hurting poor whites more.

“Where you at lou” not “ where you at jay?” but while we on the subject of Trump, you conveniently said his rhetoric is toxic against Muslims and immigrants not terrorists and illegal immigrants.

Yeah, that's why I said in that post...not all people speaking up against his rhetoric are black...not sure why you think Lou is and even if he was...I'd still be confused as to the relevance of that talking point.

And yes, Trump's rhetoric is toxic against Muslims and Immigrants, particularly from South America.

In fact, just look at Trump's response to shootings committed by Muslims compared to those by White Supremacists and that comparison alone should tell people all they need to know.

article in Current Affairs that is highly critical of SPLC. Excerpt:

In fact, when you actually look at the hate map, you find something interesting: Many of these “groups” barely seem to exist at all. A “Holocaust denial” group in Kerrville, Texas, called “carolynyeager.net” appears to just be a woman called Carolyn Yeager. A “male supremacy” group called Return of Kings is apparently just a blog published by pick-up artist Roosh V and a couple of his friends, and the most recent post is an announcement from six months ago that the project was on indefinite hiatus. Tony Alamo, the abusive cult leader of “Tony Alamo Christian Ministries,” died in prison in 2017. (Though his ministry’s website still promotes “Tony Alamo’s Unreleased Beatles Album.”) A “black nationalist” group in Atlanta called “Luxor Couture” appears to be an African fashion boutique. “Sharkhunters International” is one guy who really likes U-boats and takes small groups of sad Nazis on tours to see ruins and relics. And good luck finding out much about the “Samanta Roy Institute of Science and Technology,” which — if it is currently operative at all — is a tiny anti-Catholic cult based in Shawano, Wisconsin.

What an idiotic meme. Where is any group protesting crime rates or white on white crimes, or any ethnic group on that ethnic group crimes?

Nobody does that, why is it only bad when blacks don't protest that? What does not protesting that have to do with any other protest?

What an ignorant thing to post.

I was disappointed you didn't do a The Federalist Bias Alert... especially after they not only endorsed accused child molester roy moore, but also defended him dating teenagers while he was in his 30s, and argued that such behavior was "not without some merit if one wants to raise a large family." Defending and even rationalizing child molestation... that must warrant an even farther extreme right bias than your normal sources.

If people like you and Lou cared 1/10 as much about the real problems that plagued black folks as much as this silly **** somebody might take you serious.

Who would the protests about black on black crime be against? Would be against the school system that has biases in it and doesn't live up to its promise to the community? Would be against the justice system which has been shown to have biases against the African Americans? Would be against corporations those in charge of hiring to protest against the hiring and promotion practices that have been shown to be biased against African Americans.

I'm asking because all of those things have been shown to have negative effects on the ability to reduce crime. So those addressing those issues would absolutely address black on black crime.

Just so you understand protests are against someone who holds power. So which power structure would the protests against black on black crime be protesting.

Sorry, if you are going to post incredibly lame-ass memes in here, then you aren't in any position to lecture others on what to do in order to be taken seriously.

Because they aren't racist organizations so nobody would expect him to denounce those groups.

Behaving like you care about an issue, whilst making sure said issue can never be addressed is the way you make money in the activism industry.
