No; I don't think that's what he's saying at all. What I think he means is that a sample size of four random quarters might not be the best way to evaluate a team. Yes, obviously, we'd rather the team hit that wall in the Super Bowl than the Wildcard round but, nonetheless, at the end of the day, the Texans were far from the only team to peter out. The Texans averaged 27 points/game after their bye. They scored 34 and 21 against the Colts in their two previous meetings. The team scoring 7 in a playoff game makes no logical sense and shouldn't necessarily cancel out the 64 quarters that came before it. I'm not suggesting it's meaningless or that it's not concerning. BUT! Getting back to the Rams, it CAN happen - even to teams fans think are superior - and it might be more random/bad luck - or, at least, as much - as it is bad coaching/players. I'm not a fan of BOB by any means. But I'm also not gloom and doom about the team, and I'm certainly not going to angrily jump up and down that the team didn't waste money on a free agent class that was generally considered average, at best. They were 11-5. They have Deshaun Watson, Deandre Hopkins, JJ Watt, Jadevon Clowney... Gaine had a nice draft last year and owns additional picks... I mean, someone LITERALLY qualified their statement with, they're not the WORST team in the NFL.... Really???...
I guess we're not signing Penn either? I can't believe we are doubling down on the same Oline from last year plus (hopefully) a rookie.
I know it's the same ole but after Watson having a collapsed lung last year and having to bus halfway across the country, I would have thought we'd be a little more proactive in fixing the problem. I really don't know what they are thinking.
Do you know what the old man's agent is asking for? multi-year deal, excessive bonus, guaranteed starting position? *edit I was googling his negotiations to see, but stories on domestic violence and a hold out came up. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...land-raiders-suspected-domestic-violence-case https://justblogbaby.com/2016/03/08/donald-penn-talks-oakland-raiders-situation-on-nfl-network/ no chance he's a Texan
U seem to b a BoB defender, and theres nothing wrong with me make grabbing that specific 4 quarters of play. It matters more then 64 quarters of regular season. How we perform in that limited 4 quarter of PLAYOFFS shows that BOB is sht especially in playoffs. Regular season and playoffs r 2 different animals, and how we performed goes to show how shtty BOB prepares his team for it. We do not have the same chances as everyone else in the superbowl amongst the playoff teams last season, having BoB is a handicap.
Not sure what is funny about this signing? I know Joe Webb may not be all that serviceable but he allows at least 2-3 extra roster spots since he can essentially be a fill in at the following positions. Of course, maybe he doesn't have much talent but I think he is a solid football player. Can play: 3rd String QB 3rd String WR All Special Teams including Kick returns
