    She might not be winning but she is winning the ideas primary.

    It's not even close, honestly, Bernie has a similar spirit but at the end of the day he's a sloganeer and a rallyer. He's not a policy guy. Others might be better speakers and have better profiles and might even be better at presidenting (who knows?) but nobody has thus far shown the combination of popular, bold ideology that can translate into concrete policy like E

    If I were a candidate long on charisma but short on policy or ideology chops (and I talked about punk music a lot), I would listen to what she is saying then copy it:

    * break up monopolies

    * wealth tax

    * re-center corporations away from securities markets

    * end the electoral college

    * universal pre-k/childcare

    These are all bold broadly popular ideas.

    It is fairly easy to come up with ideas. She would make a good VP for Bernie who is more of a leader as it would be good to implement some of them..
    Another one of her good ideas from the past that I have never heard her repeat.

    Let student's refinance their loans at the same rate the Fed let the banks get money i.e close to 0%

    My thoughts exactly about Bernie. He says the right thing, but he fully believes in fighting the good fight and losing. Warren is about actually proposing things and can actually get some things passed.

    I also agree that policy which is what is most important to me is where she's the strongest.

    I like the idea of Beto and others copying her policy ideas, but I don't necessarily believe they are capable of seeing the idea all the way through.

    I will say that I have mixed feelings about ending the electoral college. Selfishly I'm in favor of ending it. But I understand the purpose of it, and the reasons for keeping it.

    The Dems are all about changing the rules to benefit themselves aren’t they? It’s like a spoiled brat who can’t stand to lose so he changes the rules of the game and wonders why nobody wants to play with him.

    It's not hard to come up with ideas.

    Trump comes up with ideas. Stupid evil half baked ones, mostly.

    Coming up with a coherent policy vision like Warren has is something no candidate has really done yet.

    Also pitching herself as the savior of capitalism rather than the socialist forerunner is a pretty boss move.

    When you avoid the socialist label and instead reframe to fairness - it's a lesson old Bernie has not and probably will never learn.

    Democrats are definitely about changing the rules for better democracy.

    I am proud of this.

    I wish some of the other Democrats would get on board with this. We need to rebalance the courts...this will require rule changes. Candidates, I'm listening.

    Impeachment for example is an important thing that should be used to protect democracy. Though it doesn't require a rule change.

    That’s just it you think you know what’s better for the country and rules be damned just give you the damn ball! The problem with this is what you have now for leadership can’t even make a layup.

    You really believe this with the voting restrictions GOP think of on the spot seemingly and Mitch McConnel as your Senate leader? Really?

    SCOTUS overturning 30 years of case law doesn't scream Rule Changing to me...only because they promised not to.

    Father thought it was eggball, took said baby home when he was getting bad calls and dirty looks.

    I feel the exact opposite with Bernie and Warren.

    I think Warren is far more nuanced and effective at actually accomplishing signficant legislative goals.

    Bernie is a big platitudes guy. He can inspire people to get exited about politics but he's just not as competent as a leader in terms of getting **** done.

    Bernie hasn't lead or got **** done in Congress.

    At this point, he's the GRRM of milking his celebrity and not following through.

    I still like him, but think his ship has sailed (it was a very small ship).

    I have reservations with Warren, but her ideas seem to show up on my radar.

    Would be more excited if both candidates were 10-15 years younger. At least Warren used that time to boost her experience and competency.

    So that’s what opened my eyes? Maybe you should give it a try and stop being lead around by a party with no direction but a failed one.

    Hey, Warren would be good. Her best chance is still if she is seen as the last hope to beat Sanders by the establishment. Wall Street dislikes her almost as much as Sanders.

    I just do not see her as being a great campaigner, more like a professor. I do see her as someone who could get some of the still pissed off Hillary crowd who blame Sanders for being in the primary against her.
