So glad he is gone. Was the worst having him on the home of the Rockets in the morning. I stopped listening to the station in the morning as soon as he started. He is the definition of shock jock, but without anything interesting at all to say. He just wanted to get people to react like these other national idiots, but he always came across as more condescending than most. Even Morey wouldn't talk to him! In Morey I trust! Good riddance Innes, and now I have another sports radio station to listen to in the morning! Bet Morey is glad he is gone as well.

Thank god. Now I can bounce back and fourth again. I flat out refused to listen to that idiot.

Next up Landry Locker. Time to get rid of sports radio garbage hosts in this town.

If Adam Clanton went to ESPN 97.5 there would literally be no reason to ever touch my tune button. Get rid of Joel and pair AC with Barry and that would be a hell of a show.

Haha he wasn't in Philly very long at all,

Haha you know he wasn't in Philly very long at all before coming back here, but apparently it was just long enough for a philadelphia magazine to publish an "Is Josh Innes Destroying Philadelphia Sports Radio?" article. Doesn't take long with this guy.

He was bad, but right now Houston sports radio is pretty mediocre to bad. I used to listen regularly on the drive in or back home; but now I'll just tune in for a bit over lunch to try to catch Matt Thomas talk a little Rockets.

Houston's problem is bigger than Innes, though. It is the overwhelming focus on all things Texans that just bogs the stations down into dull, repetitive muck. On a day after the Rockets get a nice win I don't want to tune in and hear them talking in depth about who should be the backup right tackle for the Texans practice squad.

Sports radio is not keeping up with podcasting or streaming in this town. There's too many options out there now to be expected to listen to a Howard Stern wannabe or that afternoon guy who is always talking about food or anything not relating at all to sports.
