We'd be sitting pretty effing good going into the draft though... Hell, I would have taken just ONE of those... but no...
This is the problem. Last year we heard no big signings on OL because the FAs weren’t worth the $. Then drafted a bunch of OL and we all saw how that worked out. So again same scenario skip free agency and draft instead. Draft is a crapshoot though. Even if you scout and identify the diamonds in the rough so could other teams who take them before you. Not only that but because you haven’t addressed glaring holes at CB and OL and you allowed Jackson and Matthieu to walk you can’t draft for BPA you have to reach. Unless Gaine has an unbelievable draft this has been a very very bad offseason.
They did address CB... maybe just not in the way you wanted. I wanted them to address OL as well, but making Trent Brown the highest paid left tackle in football is a stupid move. I was hoping for the next tier of lineman but Texans didn't get it done for whatever reason. Uhh... the Texans drafted ONE offensive lineman last year. How is that a bunch? Also, free agency isn't a crap shoot? How did that Aaron Colvin deal work out so far? How about that Jeff Allen signing? Brock Osweiller? You have to judge the moves made during each general managers era. Brian Gaine did a pretty good job in the draft last year getting Justin Reed, Coutee, and still to be determined with Akins, Thomas, Rankin, and Ejiofor considering he didn't have a 1st or 2nd round pick thanks to Rick Smith.
We need to give Darby a 4 yr deal. Try and sign Rashard Higgins or Dontrelle Inman. Should’ve signed Tre Boston over Gipson IMO Surprised at how cheap the RBs are going for. Should sign Ajayi or Yeldon
WTF? Dessir was only 3/22.5? Unless the texans didn't think he fit their scheme there is no reason they should not have at least contacted him.
