Nice bit of news after the more pessimistic rumor speculation from this morning. Morey this year definitely showed his ability to improve the team even after some dead ends and other issues.

I’m excited he’ll be the Rockets GM for the foreseeable future.

Need some more info on this. Feigen's report states Morey was in his final year but that's not right, Les signed him to an extension in 2017 keeping till the 2021-22 sseason.So I guess this is a one year extension on top of that ending in 2023.

I couldn't find Daryl Morey's contract. But Jerry West was paid $4-5M/year as a consultant to the Clips. Masai Ujiri was paid $3M/year from 2013-2018.

So I'd say a few millions per year is reasonable guess for Morey.
