I wrote that cause you brought up Trump in the first reply and someone else brought up Bush

So i was making the point that yes they did get in their schools because of wealth and wealthy people can use their wealth to get their kids in so why did these people resort to fraud

College admissions scam rekindles scrutiny of Kushner's Harvard acceptance, $2.5M pledge

And before you aimless continue your trump defense efforts by whining that "people shouldn't use this to attack trump"... trump's senior adviser opened that door...

So some folks in the administration have an opinion on the story. Big deal.

You decided that means you need to drive the conversation about the story into a conversation about the Trump administration people who have expressed an opinion on the story?

You could just comment on the actual story.... not immediately think, "how can I use this opportunity to attack the Trump administration"

Gee... a discussion group on politics, and a topic on education, one that the trump family and administration inserted themselves in. But sure, if you would prefer to censure the discussion so that the trump's aren't discussed...

btw, I started an earlier thread in the non politics discussion board for non-political discussion (since this really isn't a political topic)...;) Of course, some folks seem to be trying to steer that into a political discussion.

A story that has literally nothing to do with the Trump administration or anyone in it... how can I immediately make this about sh**ting on Trump/the Trump administration... what an absolute joke.

UT's tennis coach got busted too.

Documents claimed that Singer made approximately $25 million from 2011 to 2018 to bribe college coaches and create fake athletic profiles, some with staged photographs. In exchange, coaches would designate the clients’ children as recruited athletes, thereby helping them gain easier admission. College athletic entrance requirements are typically lower than those for regular students.

Center, now in his 19th season of guiding the UT tennis team, agreed to accept $100,000 as a bribe in 2015 in exchange for designating a student as a UT tennis recruit, according to investigators. The applicant, according to the FBI affidavit, “did not play competitive tennis.”

I get that $100,000.00 is a lot of money (for pretty much everyone) but I imagine the UT tennis coach makes a nice living and it's probably a "dream job" - working at the UT, living in Austin and coaching the sport you love - and to risk it all and throw it all away for $100,000.00 seems so dumb.

$100 racks to get into UT? If you are going to pony up that much, at least try for a better school.

He made $230K. Yale's womens soccer coach, who abruptly resigned 6 months ago, got over $1.5M total.

How dumb does your kid have to be that you need a $500K bribe to get her into friggin USC?

Oh, I agree with you. I wonder if a felony conviction while on the job has any effect on his state pension?
