I love Bernie but that's why we can't have elderly run the country. We're one broken hip away from a disaster.

Sure, but Orange Julius Caeser is the healthiest President in the history of Presidents. His "doctor" said so.

This is the issue right now. Those who make 6 figures or low 7 are willing to pay more, think it will make a difference, and in places like California they do pay more, up to 50%.

But those who make 8 figures or more, who control the means of production and set the scales of wages, modern day aristocrats, not only aren't willing to pay more, they have many, many loopholes available to them through investments and money transfer strategies that allow them to pay much, much less.

This is why as more and more people added to the US economy, wealth inequality grows. And grows. Eventually it catches up everyone from minimum wage to those who make 6 figures because they are not immune to shockwaves the way the uber wealthy are.

That is what seasoned senators like warren and sanders are trying to say. There's nothing truly socialist about them or their policies, the US will never be Venezuela, but they want to enforce rules on those who make capitalism unfair and almost cruel to the have nots. The working poor or lower middle class work the hardest and don't do it while sitting down in climate controlled offices. They should have a standard of life available to them.

Yeah, because the "mainstream" candidate worked out really well for the Democrats in the last election.

And you felt you needed to share this why?

Is your only purpose now to to troll what you consider left leaning posters?

Well the " mainstream " candidate won the popular vote so it was not all bad.

Maybe if the Berny mafia did not check out and take there ball home, that mainstream candidate would be president now.

I bet a substantial part of the Berny crowd is glad Hillary lost.

Looks like Bernie was able to access healthcare without any issues even though we do not have a government run system.

Which contradicts a point nobody was ever trying to make.

Interesting tidbit I found out researching some Berny voters from 2016.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-clinton-the-election/?utm_term=.157bd7bfd6f9

"Schaffner found that what distinguished Sanders-Trump voters from Sanders-Clinton voters wasn’t their attitudes about trade, but their attitudes about race. When asked whether whites are advantaged, Sanders-Trump voters were much more likely to disagree than were Sanders-Clinton voters.

The same thing is true in the VOTER survey — and, again, this was evident well before 2016. When originally interviewed in December 2011, Sanders-Trump voters were actually more likely to favor increasing trade (59 percent said so) than Sanders-Clinton voters (48 percent said so).

And, again, the bigger cleavage involved race. For example, in December 2011, 75 percent of Sanders-Trump voters agreed with this statement: “If blacks would only try harder they could be just as well off as whites.” Only 16 percent of Sanders-Clinton voters agreed."

Isn't Congress by law supposed to be using the ACA exchange??... AKA government run healthcare? I don't have access to his healthcare card or anything but pretty sure he has Obamacare.

Good then he should consider his job done and retire.

And btw Seattle implemented the $15 minimum wage in 2014.
