Sucks, but that isn't cheap. That is paying a premium. Don't know if I'd be comfortable paying $14 mil per.

Definitely didn’t want to lose him but that’s a lot of dough. That said it pretty much forces the Texans to throw serious coin into the secondary so they better have a viable option they’re working on.

Damn this sucks. Thought we had a good chance of retaining him.

Money is probably close to equal to what the Texans were offering him factoring state income tax. Looks like he believed more in Mahomes than Watson

edit: Getting aggravated now. The team has a shitload of cap space and Deshaun still on his rookie deal. What the **** was stopping them from signing Mathieu even if they had to overpay?

I’d give Earl Thomas 15-17 mil for two years.

Let the contract end once Deshaun is ready to get paid.

Keep paying the underperforming old ass players. Always dump the talent.

Garbage ass franchise continues to be garbage

At this point Earl Thomas at 2yrs/30M would be a bargain. We all watched Honey Badger made a fool of plenty of times this season not to put too much stock in his rah rah clubhouse heroics. Fan favorites can only get so much of a bonus for it. See Trevor Ariza’s 1yr 15M deal
