Because you think he was not assasinated for his share the wealth program i will not name the other ones. Everything is a convenient little coincedence in bobrek’s world.

You assume there will be a "next guy." There may not be.

France placed egregious taxes on its wealthy class, and they largely left the country, taking their wealth with them.

Now France is begging them to come back:

This is america. If they leave someone will fill in their shoes. France is not a leader in tech, there is no silicon valley there. We wont miss them because new wealth will be created at a much faster rate with them gone. Before apple and amazon we had circuit city, comp usa, radio shaq, electronic stores, sears, many different cell phone stores owned by individuals all bringing jobs and circulating dollars in every city.

You can play that game. So can i. Prove he wasnt. We know he was assasinated a month after he announced he would run for president with his wealth redistribution plan, he got the judge who was paid off out of his way and got popped within a few hours.

I believe in American exceptionalism to some extent, but I also reject the notion that "oh, that happened over there. It can't happen here."

You could definitely have a wealth flight if the taxes you propose, and/or a UBI system, were imposed. And as these types of policies get implemented, wealthy and capable people are going to: a) flee the system b) retire c) learn how to work outside the system.

why would a UBI system make the wealth run away, that means they do not care about poverty. If they retire that’s good, it’s going to open up a lot of room for newcomers to grow. They can keep running but eventually the rest of the world is going to follow suit and tax them until they pay.

You acting like we need a ruling class is silly. We dont need them, they need us.

Are you aware that in San Diego they don’t support big corporations? There are no Walmarts inside the city of San Diego. Did their city crumble without Walmart?

Sure. That is because everyone is equally innovative, talented, intelligent, industrious, etc. I'm sure if Buffett stepped down, you would ably fill his shoes.

Lmao, we would have way more knowledge if we gave everyone a thousand dollars a month or a system where the elite paid there taxes so people could afford to spend time being creative rather than worrying about unpaid bills.

You have no idea the knowledge each individual posseses. You judge a book by its cover.

I don't know where to begin. There may be some extremely capable children who are being held back because their families don't have enough to support them or their academic interests properly.

But, the idea that handing out 12k a year to everyone would make us brighter as a nation seems asinine. I don't know if you have employed anyone, but there are huge differences in individuals that lead to success or failure however you choose to define that. Handing out money won't make people work harder, be smarter, be more talented etc.

Also, you throw around accusations re: judging a book by its cover based on reading what, a few posts? Pot meet kettle.

I feel dumber having read your posts.

You started it by saying no one could fill in warren buffets shoes. That is asinine.

Who should the next president be in 2021? That question is off limits for you in the d and d about a thread discussing who the next president should be?
