Sources: Butler will be Moreys main target this summer, and he feels fairly confident it will happen

Last game made me confused on who was the leader when Joel is not playing. Regardless of the missed shots the team just looked out of sync. Not sure if this was just a one off. Butler to Houston would be nice. But if Gordon can keep shooting like he has been and stay healthy he becomes the xfactor on a championship.

Focus on the wins and his production with 2nd unit.

I don’t want Jimmy Butler. So, since my opinion matters so much to Morey, we aren’t getting Butler. Confirmed.

But seriously, do you want him? What would we have to give up? Would he fit our style? Is he even worth his price tag?

I would 100% trade Gordon, fillrr and picks for butler this offseason.

Convince him to opt in and trade and guarantee a 4 year max after the year.

That lines him up with hardens max. Runs one year longer than cp3s and ultimately gives us an all in of 4 years; 3 under his new contract.

Butler has always operated in the PnR, until this year where he seems to have declined. Ultimately I dont think I declined, hes being used improperly.

Here in Houston he would be the #2 goto guy on offense.

This allows us to keep cp3s minutes down and keep him destroying bench units.

    A team of

    Cp3
    Harden
    Butler
    Tucker
    Capela

    Is bonkers

Except for the part where everywhere butler goes team chemistry drama follows. There isn’t a single bulls fan here in chicago that misses jimmy.

Man, I'm so tired of talking about salary. Paralysis by salary analysis -- it's a disease.

Who really cares what you pay another all-star when you have to do something in Harden's prime. for me: it's only who you have to trade away, not how much you have to promise Butler to stay.

I'd be excited and would welcome a trade for Butler. I think he would fit in just great. He fills our biggest position of need, could bolster our defense, hit the open three and create when needed.

I can also understand why people wouldn't and wouldn't spend much time arguing against that stance. He has a track record of being a headache.

Yes, good point. I just think we should swing for the fences and try to get AD first.

The only name I want to add to our current squad is Larry O’Brien ;)

Meanwhile LaVine has become a fan favorite here, and Markkanen has turned into a very solid player. Minnesota job robbed.

Call me an optimist, but joining with Harden and CP3, I think they are all aligned mentally and their would be no issues what so ever.

Jimmy is a try hard and passionate, the problem is hes always been on younger teams. He just doesnt appear to have the patience.

he was very noticeably pissed off at mike scott a couple games ago at that defensive breakdown at the end on lavine. but i'm not so sure butler shouldn't have just stayed on lavine himself. these are the types of things that scare me about him really being a diva drama queen

It depends on the defensive scheme. It likely was Scott's responsibility. That imo isnt drama, its desire for perfection.

Now that I'd jump on in a heartbeat. As Clutchfans puts it, he would be the key to our championship
