Glennon seems like he could be a good backup QB option. With the amount of quality safeties available (and with Weddle inking 2y 12m), I'm hopeful that Honey Badger can come back on something reasonable. He's seems pretty set on going to the highest bidder, but I don't see anyone forking over 50m with 30 guaranteed with the surplus on the market. That, and safeties seem to be a bit undervalued in today's game. Hopefully we can get him under control for something reasonable. With Reid growing in, I don't think bringing back Mathieu is a must. It would be nice, but no need to break the bank for him IMO.
Pass will be 29 when season starts and hasn’t done nothing recently. Rather have someone who’s younger and more dynamic need a legit receiving threat out the backfield imo.
What have you been smoking? They did all of this without 1st/2nd Rd picks. Go thru the list and tell me who RS 3rd rd picks were.
If the Texans plans are to sit at 23 and draft a rookie LT to protect DW$'s blindside they are truly idiots. If they were to get a serviceable LT like Nsekhe and draft a rookie to start at RT and eventually move to LT they would atleast give the OL a chance to be better next season. Except in very rare occasions Guys like Thomas, Pace,Ogden,Jones rookie LT's usually dont fare well. Even highly rated guys like Fisher.
Crash, in a boys dream: Trade Mercilus for a 3rd or 4th. Trade our first this year and third next year for Patrick Peterson. Sign Trent Brown LT, Juwann James RT, Leveon Bell RB, Trade a fifth or sixth for DeSean Jackson, re-sign Honey Badger. BPA in remaining draft picks. Extend Clowney if he'll take a little less than Mack or let someone else have him for the 2 1st rounders, or play him at the franchise tag for two years if necessary. Too lazy to figure out cap hit, but pretty sure we could do it all.
Interesting article. Looks like the CB and OL market are going to be pretty meh. Wonder if we could trade for an OL/CB instead of pursuing what's on the FA market. The write-ups on that Athletic article don't make any of the BPAs sound very intriguing, and we certainly won't land Greedy or the other top CB/OLs at 23. I don't know what Gaine and co. are planning, but it looks like the best option is going to be to trade for a top-end OL/CB. I wish they would've covered the potential trade targets in that article as well, but Patrick Peterson seems like the most glaring top shelf CB candidate to be traded.
