What is more important to houston, the NFL Draft or Rockets Basketball?

You may have the first two reversed.

 

Clutchfans will say Rockets basketball but the majority of Houstonians still ride with the terrible Texans, disappointing year after year.

Houston is a "football city" but it shouldn't be because the Rockets have clearly been better and are closer to title contention than the Texans ever will be.

 

Don't live in HOU but there's a lot of NBA fatigue at this point in the season. Games are pretty much meaningless given the playoffs last 2+ months.

 

Plus Warriors syndrome. We don't care about the regular season anymore.

 

meaningless to the ones who are no where near the playoffs. but over half the league are still jockeying for a playoff position and being able to play their best basketball going into the post season. all of that is extremely relevant

 

Texans Draft should be behind The Rockets and Stros

 

NFL Draft. This city doesn't care about the Rockets. They're in football mode year round despite almost 2 decades of mediocrity from the Texans. Texans get a pass every year they fail to win the big one. Rockets get slandered all to hell despite making the playoffs every year since Harden came.

I had people come up to me at work like "Damn Rockets!" and "Man, trade Harden he is killing this team" after game 7 last season. But when the Texans were one and done in the postseason they were praising them like they did nothing wrong.

GTFO my face with that ****.

 

The Rockets use to be higher on that list, but Les Alexander wanted to promote the Rockets to two key audiences
1. China
2. Corporations

He erased the legacy by removing the classic logo and uniforms
He also made it hard at one point for regular fans to watch the Rockets It use to be free on channel 20

 

That’s how a gym is u do ur work out and leave. What u want them to do? Wipe your sweat off ur face?

 

People clearly care more about football than basketball in Houston. But not me!

 

According to the reading I've been doing in the GARM the only thing that matters is signing Danuel House.

 

I have been a Houston Pro Football fan for many, many years. If any organization can screw up a draft and the offseason, in general, it is the Houston Texans. They just cut a number one pick! I voted Rockets.

 

Wait? People still watch the Texans?

 

Right now all I care about is

#1 Rockets
#2 a close 2 maybe a shared #1: Coogs hoops
#3 Astros getting ready

That’s it. Couldn’t care less about the Texans until maybe October until Rockets preseason starts again.

Then in the fall it’s:

Playoff baseball, college football and NBA getting started again. I’ll watch Texans games on Sundays but I don’t read articles and go to forums and follow twitter like I do the other sports.

I LOVE the NBA draft. I’d rather drink bleach than watch the NFL draft or listen to NFL combine coverage.

 

Texans Radio 610 has obvious agenda.

The little I've heard from 790 seems to have repped Rox well enough.

Houston is such a beautiful city with so many things to do, therefore, people are out enjoying life rather than sitting in front of the TV.

I’m in on all Houston sports.

But I do agree with u on the fans in this city. Def more Texans fans who arnt rockets fans but almost every rockets fan I know loves the Texans.

If I had to rate it I’m diehard rockets fan, diehard Texans fan.

And the Astros I def keep up with but I’m not really into baseball but I will watch the playoff games if the Stros are in. I’ll admit playoff baseball is so much better than the regular season. Baseball regular season is the worst and most meaningless out of the 4 major sports. Just way to many games.

But I’m all in on rockets coverage I seek it out daily. Texans I’ll watch the draft but I’m not about to seek out what’s going on.

I love football so I’ve heard about the Ole miss WR who ran the 4.3 and Kylie Murray maybe going number one.

And I love DW4 but it’s james harden and the rockets all day every day.

But football is special I don’t understand ppl that don’t like it. It’s like one thing that is completely American it’s cool and it freezes all sports media on sundays. It’s just different than all other sports.

It’s def clear why the nfl makes the most money by a large margin.
