All have different skill sets. Though they are all safeties, strong safeties are closer to linebackers and free safeties are closer to cornerbacks. A few of them can play both safety positions.
So Trent Brown... Best of a bad/weak bunch (kinda like Nate Solder last year) or actually good? (Both coming from New England; Solder was 29 going on 30; Brown is 25 turning 26) $15.5M avg for Solder; $13.75M for Donovan
What has Quinn done sense?...and isn’t he suppose to be defensive specialist....and Kyle is a good coach just hasn’t done anything as a head coach. And yes O’Brien has been a finalist before.
Finalist where? In the NFL or in college? Quinn actually got to the big game. Almost as soon as he got to Atlanta. He had a bunch of injuries on defense this past season. But again, he has accomplished more in less years. If you're basing on accomplishments, you gotta bring Nagy and Reich back up. They've done as well as O'Brien in just one season.
Sorry it was in college. Thought for some reason he was nominated for COY in nfl one year and remembered he should of got it but didn’t but I was completely wrong my bad .
I'm not even sure how true that is. Jonathan Joseph was better than any of their CBs (for instance, according to PFF Joseph was #10 and Desir was #15). And even though all the Colts DBs (even practice squad) were better than Shareece Wright, the whole position group isn't "clearly better than" the Texans'.
For me, this is the order I would like: Honey Badger/Collins (either one) Ronald Darby Bell Trent Brown John Brown Then, if there is more money or we fail at those: Bradley Roby 1-2 of our FA d-linemen Justin Houston (if we fail with Clowney) Dee Ford if he's free. Draft: OL CB WR RB Depth
Eh, I'm not too worried. We won the division last year, after all. We even won a playoff game* a few years ago. *over the Raiders and their 3rd string QB
Honey badger was coming into his own with the team, great chemistry and a leader. Why let a talent like that go? Pay the man he’s not asking Clowney money. Pretty sure clowney is gone after this season.
Not sure how he even made the pro bowl over Kareem. Weddle returned in 2018 as the Ravens starting free safety. He finished the season with 68 combined tackles, one sack, and three pass deflections in 16 games and 16 starts. He was named to his sixth Pro Bowl, and third straight. He's 34. He could probably be had for cheap.
Cant wait till free agency. People are going to be a little surprised just how quiet the Texans are going to be. Should be fun to argue with pissed off fans for the next 5 months.
Prolly his first year took a 2-14 team to 9-7 and just missed the playoffs. But besides that prolly this year as well went 0-3 to 11-5. With that long winning streak as well.
