Ehhh...a little bit might be that, but I would say the main thing that lets teams back in is that our defense is bad and that now other teams are now shooting more threes. Like maybe 4 years ago, 17 point lead....yea you're done, but now....its not that big anymore.

LOL, it’s true though, Brown has sounded like a Rocket homer when we’ve gotten down big we as fans just have selective memory.....

 

Faried was missed today. Clark still has a long ways to go. Gordon's comeback was huge! Lack of size and athleticism is hurting the Rockets from taking total control over the WC.

Gordon was dog s**t to start the season, much like the team as a whole was, but he's pretty much been playing at his typical level for the last few months.

This team clearly has another gear it can go to when playing good teams in the playoffs. I really hope Shumpert can get healthy, or we convert House to stabilize our wing play so we don't shrink to a 7 man rotation, but if all our primaries are healthy only the Warriors can beat us.

 

Clutch is so right. So many plays where a replay of the potential foul was necessary but we got nothing.

 

Yea there’s some bad D mixed in but long rebounds on missed threes are hard to defend when your constantly back-pedaling. You just never really get set and it leads to easy baskets. It’s not just us, Golden State, Denver, Portland, LA, a ton of teams have blown huge leads this year. That doesn’t make it any easier to digest but it’s just the way the NBA is going now....

 

Our guys worked hard on defense despite the obvious mismatches. It contributed to the win.

 

It's really frustrating to see the shot selection and heavy ISO in the 4th by Harden. I was kind of glad he got fouled out at that point. We need to go back to letting Harden carry us for 3 quarters and defer the control to Paul in the 4th to slow things down and move the ball. We let so many teams back in or lose because of Harden's shot selection towards end of games.

 

The irony and stupidity of all this is that the NBA for the most part ALLOWS the travel because it SELLS tickets and creates hilghlights! If they reffed it like college the game would take three hours and scoring would go down so why these internet asssholes decide to key in on Harden I’ll never know.

Yes and the shot being worth more is what makes it more efficient if it is shot at mid 30 or better if you are not shooting the mid range at higher than 50%. I personally would trade a 3 for a 2 all game long.
